Cannabis, pregnancy and breastfeeding w/ Beth Skinner Jasinski!

In this eye-opening episode, we explore the controversial and complex topic of using cannabis during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. While mainstream medical advice generally discourages any cannabis use during these sensitive stages, some parents have made informed decisions to continue cannabis for medicinal reasons, including managing chronic pain, severe nausea (like hyperemesis gravidarum), anxiety, or PTSD.

We break down the potential risks, such as concerns about fetal development, low birth weight, and the transfer of THC through breast milk. At the same time, we highlight personal stories from parents who felt that continuing cannabis helped them function better, avoid more harmful pharmaceuticals, or manage debilitating symptoms.

    weighing in on:
    The lack of long-term research
The use of medical vs recreational

The role of honest, stigma-free dialogue with healthcare providers
This episode doesn’t aim to promote or condemn—it aims to inform. Whether you’re a curious parent, healthcare professional, or advocate, this conversation encourages thoughtful consideration and empathy for individual choices made in complex circumstances.

🎧 Tune in to learn how some parents are navigating cannabis use during one of life’s most delicate chapters—with care, caution, and conviction.

Cannabis and Body Temperature Regulation: Staying Cool With Cannabis!

Today we’re talking about something that is familiar to me at least, and a topic that may be familiar for you as well during these past few days…body-heat regulation!

We will talk about the science behind this as well, however overall this topic is a bit more of a stretch.

Personally, I believe that cannabis has helped me immensely in this regard, and I will go through and discuss how.

We’ll find that sometimes we’ll see direct impacts on temperature control with cannabis (THC); and other effects are more indirect (CBD).

Overall, I think this topic is largely tied to anxiety, however since it’s overlooked and has helped me as much as it has, I wanted to take time to discuss it!

  • Cannabis and OCD: A Refresh!
    May 23 2025
Cannabis and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Welcome back! Rate, subscribe, tell us what you like or what you want to see less of…thanks again! Today we’re talking about a common form of anxiety that many of us have heard called “OCD” or obsessive compulsive disorder. Why are we talking about this? Why is it important? A few reasons! First, OCD is a very common disorder. It is estimated that about 2-3% of people in the United States have OCD.This means that millions of people are affected by this disorder. Second, OCD can be very difficult to live with. People with OCD may experience significant anxiety, depression, and social isolation. They may also have difficulty maintaining relationships and completing their daily tasks. Third, there is a lot of stigma associated with OCD. People with OCD may be afraid to seek help because they are afraid of being judged or misunderstood. This can make it difficult for people with OCD to get the treatment they need. Finally, there is a lack of awareness about OCD. Many people do not know what OCD is or how it can affect a person's life. This can make it difficult for people with OCD to get the support they need from their friends, family, and community. So let’s help with some of that today, shall we?! We need to talk more about OCD so that we can raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with it. We also need to make sure that people with OCD have access to the treatment they need (i.e.- Cannabis?!).By simply talking more about OCD and having this discussion, we can help to improve the lives of millions of people.
