This podcast is the third of a series of three looking at the life of Queen Elizabeth the first, and I’m exploring the myths and rumours surrounding the life of Queen Elizabeth, England’s ‘Gloriana’ – the virgin queen who reigned England and Ireland for 44 years.

In this podcast we take a look behind the familiar façade, to see what Elizabeth was really like.

  • Podcast Seventeen - Queen Elizabeth I Part One
    Oct 23 2020

This podcast is the first of a series of three looking at the life of Queen Elizabeth the first, and is an introduction to the key events of Elizabeth’s life.

I’ll be looking at Elizabeth’s challenging childhood, her teenage years, how she ended up imprisoned in the Tower of London, and why she spent most of her reign in fear of assassination.

The next podcast explores the myths and legends which surround the last Tudor queen, and the third will look behind the familiar façade, to see what Elizabeth was really like.

Noble Blood, The History of Rome by Mike Duncan, and The Serial Killer Podcast are the three podcast that i consider to be absolutely perfect for listening to at night when going to bed, not because the are boring at all, but because it is extremely obvious that each of the creators of these podcast truly love what they do, research each episode like they're writing their master's thesis, take pride in the quality of their audio and write scripts to virtually eliminate any ummm, errrs, uhhhhs and stuttering over their words or losing their place. these are important because a great podcast on history told in story format can transport back in time and are so detailed that even if you're a huge history buff, you will learn interesting little factoids that only true lovers of history will appreciate, even if they're not even the type of factoids that would be used at a trivia night at your local pub.
This Podcast joins the 3 I mentioned as far as meeting these criteria. it's escapism of the healthy and relaxing kind like the other 3 so huzzah!! in my humble opinion, this podcast has become the fourth member of a very exclusive group of podcast!

No self-respecting anglophile should miss this podcast! Great information that I have not heard before. It all started with OWEN. Never heard of him prior to finding Mr. Richesand his hidden royal gems.

A Tudor geeks dream!
