Must listen true story!!

This was a super interesting podcast. I really like how it's a mix of 1st hand narration and interviews. I want to replay it and make sure I didn't miss anything.

I put this one off thinking it would be multiple stories and hopelessness. It’s beautifully written, performed, has great sound effects to keep you pulled in. A story of falling apart and building back up with a level of strength we won’t ever experience. I couldn’t stop listening once I started it.

ntense. Emotional. Poetic and Raw

Lily is an extraordinary storyteller. She masterfully sucks you into her deeply personal experience of being stalked with acoustically rich cinematic arcs and texture. So artfully crafted I found myself visualizing her world as if I were dreaming it, FEELING it as if I was living it. The immersive audioscape is so well done, I often turned my head to see here the voices or crow caws or horn honks were coming from. Such an important piece of work and hopefully incredibly cathartic to its creator.

True fear/control, true to ourselves, then we win

Fantastic read! This is a true to life story for many of us. words are shared, but their is so much is underneath. Keep this in mind as you listen. This unwanted Attention , this life intrusion a fearful life situation.It changes us from free, fun loving to captured by this unstable person. I always wanted to change places, me as the stalker teaching lessons. let them feel the fear like we did. My hat goes off to us strong women who come out of this stronger than ever!!! Abuse is also included in this podcast. waiting for Lily to combine stories of what we experienced, a book is in the future.

Good Listen

I "enjoyed" listening to this. It was sometimes difficult, because I've been stalked in the past. This why "enjoyed" is in quotes. It's a fascinating tale that makes me feel that all males should listen to it. Though I'd worry that they'd learn more ways to torture women and girls, it might reach some who have these tendencies to get help. On another note, I don't like that stalkers and abusers still have more rights than those whom they victimize. Let's hope that this changes...and soon!

There is no "peace" after such experiences, either. The honesty expressed here is gut wrenching, yet way too familiar.

the narration of the story was told good but the tone was just a little over the top sometimes. the author made is seem like it was an inconvenience of her to write this story for us (readers/listeners) at times. but overall, I still stayed on and listened to the end. Hopefully the stalker will find better things to do.

Terrifyingly raw

I am so glad I listened to this podcast. I have a whole other level of compassion for people who deal with this type of terror. Lily does an impeccable job of bringing us into that world and the fear and hyper vigilance is palpable. She brings up good questions regarding invisible violence, visibility in performance and social platform exposure, and the validation of fear. The paradoxes are everywhere from her performances on stage to her disguised invisibility in her everyday life. But, what sticks with me more than anything was the unwanted intimacy she felt herself fall into as a form of survival. She had to think like him, get to know how he works, predict where he will be all while he is consuming every bit of information he can find on her. The powerful transformation of Lily from the hunted to the hunter is why this is a hero’s journey. She’s raw and strong and determined to bring awareness to an isolated circle of hell and she is worth protecting.

Overly dramatic storytelling

So, I genuinely feel very bad for the narrator, and the story is very sad and interesting. That said, the delivery is very much not my style. I prefer more matter-of-fact commentary. Example: Instead of saying, "Even now as I write this, I feel anxious. I still have trouble sleeping" the author will say something like, "I sit here. [Pause] Raw. Afraid. [Pause] Wounded. [Pause] The world around me is spinning." That's completely paraphrased, but that's roughly the style of performance. Again, she has gone through a lot, but I found the delivery annoying.

Good story, not my favorite delivery

The story need to be told. Just a bit too artsy for my taste. Nothing necessarily wrong with it. If you like artsy and detailed stage setting, you’ll probably like it.
