  • What Will They Say About You When You're Gone? - Paul D. Lowe & Rabbi Daniel Cohen
    Apr 3 2025

On this episode of the SoulScape Celebrations podcast, host Paul – D. Lowe, International Celebrant –talks to Daniel Cohen about his books, specifically ‘What Will They Say About You When You’re Gone: Creatinve a Life of Legacy’ as well as his career as a Rabbi.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • As you walk out of a funeral you have a moment where you say to yourself “I hope they speak about me the same way they spoke about that individual.” You leave thinking about doing what’s more important in life and how you want to be remembered. Generally, you’re motivated for about 15 minutes until you go back to life as usual.
    • Life isn’t meant to be a highlight film. Every day god puts us on the Earth we have something unique to accomplish. It really hit home for me on a personal level when my mother passed away sudden from a brain aneurism when she was 44. I learned that life can change in an instant. When I got to 44 I began to think a lot more deeply about if I was doing the most that I can with the life that god has given me to try to make a difference in the world around me.
    • You don’t have to believe in god, but I believe there’s something inside all of us, whether it’s a soul or some yearning to know that we matter, we not just here to eat, drink, be merry and die, that I need to love, be loved, be kind, unlock some beauty and sanctity in the world around me. All to often I think we fill our souls with junk food (social media, counterfeit pleasures) accomplishing a lot but not doing much. These things are still important, but what can you do today that’s worthy of future memory?
    • It’s important to know the distinction between exiting vs living. When somebody says: “What’s my goal in life?” That goal shouldn’t be being healthy, that’s a means to accomplishing something, but to be healthy without using the gift of health is missing a unique opportunity.

    BEST MOMENTS

‘I’ve always lived with a sense that life matters, to be grateful for every day, not to wait for a crisis: There’s no atheists in a fox hole.’
‘Life isn’t made up of days, it’s made up of moments'.

‘Anybody who enters my orbit should end up feeling better about themselves than when they entered that orbit'.

‘One of the most important things to be able to do in life is to make distinctions. To live a life of legacy means to be able to distinguish between really happiness vs pleasure'.

  • The Christ Blueprint - Paul D. Lowe & Padma Prakasha
    Mar 20 2025
On this episode of the SoulScape Celebrations podcast, host Paul – D. Lowe, International Celebrant –talks to Padma Prakasha about his book, ‘The Christ Blueprint’, an inspirational map about the 13 qualities of Christ Consciousness. KEY TAKEAWAYS In 2007-8 I was travelling in the South of France with my then girlfriend and we visited the Mary Magdelene site church there. At dinner that night, suddenly and without warning, a radiant, sensual, holy, feminine energy appeared to me which stopped me in my tracks. This was my introduction to Mary Magdelene. The next day I felt the same feeling but with a sense of urgency and she began to share with me about the Apostles, the power of the womb, and the divine feminine. The narrative we’re normally given is that it’s just about Christ. But he couldn’t have done what he did here on Earth without Mary Magdelene, his loving wife and who was a very wise and powerful leader in her own right, and the Apostles as well. It was a co-creative, collective collaboration that anchored, ignited and introduced this Christ Consciousness on Earth again.A lot of people get it confused. They believe a woman’s in her power when she’s being more masculine. Actually the feminine Christed masters (more than Apostles) showed us that love is being in the feminine power, being in that radiant, sensual, sacred self, is also a feminine power, and to be able to embrace, not judge, everything and bring it into your own heart.Christ’s teachings have been mistranslated. If you look at his ‘I am’ mantras he says “I am the bread of life”, “I am the way, the truth and the light”. If you don’t understand that you’ll think that he’s saying that it’s only through him that you can access or be that, so you have to worship him. But, if you look a little bit deeper into the Aramaic, the tradition he came from and where he was taught, you can see that “I am” is based in a much more ancient wisdom tradition that he studied and was initiated into. The presence that is everywhere is know in all traditions as “I am”, it’s within everybody’s heart. BEST MOMENTS ‘Mary Magdelene was very much about divine/sacred union with the masculine as well as the divine'. ‘There were 4 key female Apostles: Mary Magdelene, Martha, Mother Mary, and Mary Salome and they all had different capacities'. ‘Each of the Apostles had a higher self, you could call them ‘masters’, and these worked through the human incarnations of the Apostles in order to get the divine purpose accomplished'. ’13 follows a natural rhythms: There are 13 Moons in the calendar, not 12. 13 is the magic number that allows you to tap into the natural rhythmic intelligence of life which has been known through every sacred tradition throughout history'. ABOUT THE GUEST Padma Prakasha is a wisdom author, vibrational media creator, visionary pioneer and public speaker bringing together ancient wisdom and modern science. Padma’s books, music and multimedia are drawn from the traditions he has been initiated into. His books include: The Power of Shakti, Womb Wisdom, Sacred Relationships (Inner Traditions), The Christ Blueprint, The Nine Eyes of Light: Ascension Keys from Egypt (NAB/Random House), Dimensions of Love, Shiva's Hologram: The Maheshwara Sutra and The Science of Sound (O Books). Since 1997 he has presented, lectured and taught in 20 countries worldwide. Website ABOUT THE HOST Despite a painful, traumatic childhood, Paul D. • Expertise In Managing Poverty - Paul D. Lowe & Jose Belanga
    Mar 6 2025

On this episode of the SoulScape podcast, our host - Paul D. Lowe, International Celebrant – talks again to Jose Berlanga about how he manages companies, and entrepreneurs that are struggling.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • For the majority of my career I’ve been working with small companies and startups, and I pride myself in being able to manage them without any resources, by being creative and more aware that the spending of every cent needs to be well planned.
    • I had the blessing of having parent who were very responsible, they grew up in a different era with very difficult circumstances, where things needed to be respected at a high level. Having things was an honour and a privilege, not a right. That’s part of the mentality of being a business owner.
    • When we start making a little bit of money, one of the mistakes we make is that we start spending it to show the people around us how well we’re doing on unnecessary expenditure, luxuries. You should delay these until you have enough wealth, it’s fundamentally important to the health of your business, but it’s very difficult for people to do.
    • Although I have many weaknesses in the business world, thank god, ego has not been one of them. I have never done anything for what people might think about me or how I do things. Some people utilize that to build upon, leaders need that recognition as successful, I don’t, I feed more on the creative aspects of being successful. When you’re starting a family/business/career, you learn more from obstacles and from the lack of things because you figure out a way around it. When you have abundance it’s easier to make things happen so you don’t develop your brain and creativity.

    BEST MOMENTS

‘Frugality and taking care of whatever resources you have is crucial in the process of building a company'.

‘Some people start making money when they no longer care that much about it Business and success in life is not just about money, life is more than that'.

‘The personality of abundance comes in handy when you’re trying to build something big, you have to have that clarity and ability to see beyond what’s right in front of you'.

‘There’s no manual or specific formula for someone to achieve their goals'.

  • Celebrating The Business of Building - Paul D. Lowe & Jose Berlanga
    Feb 20 2025

On this episode of the SoulScape podcast, our host - Paul D. Lowe, International Celebrant – talks to Jose Berlanga about his construction business and the make-up of a successful entrepreneur.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • I’ve devoted nearly three decades of my time to building in different sectors, but mostly in residential construction. This industry is so interesting and fun, but most people focus on the fun part and there’s very little material out there about the actual process that occurs behind the scenes of this business, like how to start and build a company in the construction industry. That's why I started writing my book, ‘The Business of Building’.
    • I don’t think of myself as a builder, I’m more of an entrepreneur, someone who enjoys the business part of things, thew deal making, putting things together and building them, as opposed to other technical, more creative, and perhaps more artistic participants in this industry.
    • Not all entrepreneurs are the same: Mission, objectives, the reasoning behind entering the career of entrepreneurship. But there are others that are very similar and necessary to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship: Discipline, consistency, repetition, persistence, having that itch or desire to always move forward, curiosity, being able to handle risk, tolerating a lot of pressure, and being able to handle uncertainty.
    • When I’ve seen better results in my career and on my journey in the different experiences and businesses that I’ve started and built, is when I try to go and think beyond the financial aspects of the business. When I find the why and the mission, the logic and understanding of what I’m doing what I’m doing.

    BEST MOMENTS

‘This is not an easy industry, it’s so competitive, there are so many things that can go wrong at any given point'.

'I have never focused on the technical side of the business, I’ve always been on the business side, I like to oversee things'.

‘I believe that some entrepreneurs fear the regret of not attempting more than the risk of failing'.

‘The most important thing in business and entrepreneurship is your focus on making a difference and a contribution'.

  • Celebrating My Father's Life with Tom Fuller
    Feb 6 2025

On this episode of the SoulScape Celebrations podcast, host Paul – D. Lowe, International Celebrant –talks to Tom Fuller about their and our father’s lives.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • I was a very lucky child and a lucky man. I feel blessed when I listen to others that didn’t have the upbringing that I did. Not that I’d say it was the best ever, but I’m certainly grateful for my Dad, Anthony (Tony), bringing me up the way he did.
    • I try to do the best I can from what Dad taught me, the Ps and Qs, it doesn’t cost anything to say thank you, be respectful to people. You can also look at some of the things you didn’t agree with and decide not to go down that road. Not everything that comes out of their mouth is 100% correct.
    • When Dad passed, I wanted to give him a really good send off with a celebration of his life, passions and personality. As a customer painter I had a unique opportunity to design and paint his coffin. It was one of the most emotional days of my life, but one of the most rewarding as well.

    BEST MOMENTS

‘Dad’s love was just as powerful as Mum’s.’

‘Being a teenager you’re trying to find your feet, but 99% of the time when I look back at it I realise he was right. But that means that 10% of the time I was right.’

‘You can’t choose your family, I know some people who get on with other people’s families more than their own. There’s no rules.’

    ABOUT THE GUEST

Tom Fuller’s career started way back in the late 80's when fluorescent colours ruled and mullets were in fashion. Fast forwards a few decades and in 2007, Tom & Steve officially launched Image Design Custom and he hasn't looked back since.

  • Celebrating Celebrancy (2) – Paul D. Lowe (International Celebrant) & Susan Paul
    Jan 23 2025

On this episode of the SoulScape podcast, host Paul D. Lowe - International Celebrant – talks to Susan Paul about her journey into celebrancy and what celebrancy means to her.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • I felt like my life needed something more, I needed a better direction and a new journey to be on and I wanted to do more for people whether that was for babies being born, people getting married or in death. I want to be able to celebrate that person and tell a story about their life.

    • As a celebrant you need to have the passion and the want to get to know a person. It’s deeper because you want to know what’s going on and about the person. There’s more emotion to it that it just being your 9-5 job. It’s a privilege for you to be invited in and to be given that trust.

    • You can’t plan the perfect celebration to use in any instance, it’s their celebration. It’s what can I do for them? The best privilege is at the end for them to say their day was amazing, then you know you’ve done a good job because they’re happy.

    BEST MOMENTS

‘Everybody has a story, and everybody deserves to celebrate whatever the milestone is and whatever is going on in their lives'.

‘You have to take everybody in every situation as an individual and tailor it to what they are, what you feel, and what you get from the stories that they tell'.

‘People now are moving away from traditional weddings to choose what they would like, it’s personal now and it’s exciting. You can be who you want to be'.

    ABOUT THE GUEST

Susan Paul is an Independent professional wedding and funeral Celebrant whose training was completed at the highly respected and recognized Academy of Professional Celebrants.

She says: "Life is a journey filled with moments of joy, connection, reflection and farewell. As a celebrant, I consider it a privilege and an honour to guide individuals and families through these significant chapters in life, crafting ceremonies or eulogies that honour personal stories/journeys, making them unique with authenticity and care.

My personal journey into celebrancy stems from some life experiences and losses I have had and just not having that ‘right’ person to share these times with. I have a deep passion for connecting with people and celebrating diversity of human experiences, whether this may be uniting two hearts in marriage or commemorating a loved one’s life with dignity, my focus is on creating meaningful heartfelt ceremonies that reflect the stories and essence of those involved."

  • Celebrating Celebrancy (1) – Paul D. Lowe (International Celebrant) & Becky Young
    Jan 9 2025
The SoulScape Celebrations podcast – hosted by Paul D. Lowe, International Celebrant – is a heartfelt space where inspiring stories unfold, capturing the essence of life, love, and legacy. Drawing from his own journey from pain to peace, Paul shares the stories of remarkable individuals, encouraging listeners to embrace their own paths and create marvellous memories, and lasting legacies. More than just a podcast, SoulScape Celebrations offers inspiration and encouragement, inviting listeners to embrace their own journeys, celebrate personal milestones, and contribute to a life-enhancing legacy. Join us in crafting one story, one milestone, one celebration at a time. Each episode is an invitation to reflect, and to cherish moments that matter. Together, let’s celebrate the beauty of lives well-lived. On this inaugural episode of SoulScape Paul talks to Becky Young about what celebrancy means to her. KEY TAKEAWAYS Celebrancy is as simple as celebration. A celebration of somebody’s life that has passed on, somebody’s life that is just beginning, or a couple’s life that is just beginning in marriage. A celebrant is there to simply celebrate these occasions. Nowadays there’s so much social pressure; we always have to be doing the best we can, working hard, making sure we’ve got pensions and savings for a rainy day. It’s almost like a competition and I’ve been guilty of it myself. We’re so busy trying to achieve these social norms that we forget about the little things. I don’t want to be spending my life for my days off or for my holidays, I want to enjoy every day. I know that’s not always going to be possible, things happen and it’s not always going to be sunsets, rainbows and unicorns, but try to make the best of every day. That’s why I’m going into a life of celebrancy, to celebrate my life and other people’s lives. Life, death, love, these are all things we’re automatically programmed to do, they’re things we should be celebrating but our minds are so bogged down with day-to-day tasks (work, money, bills) that the stress of that takes over. We start thinking with the mind more than the heart and we miss out on so much by doing that. Life is a journey and it’s to be enjoyed as much as we possibly can. BEST MOMENTS ‘Celebrants should do it with passion, beautiful words, poetry. It’s definitely a skill, an art'. ‘Some people have the mindset of living in the moment, but it’s a difficult skill to get back even though it’s a skill we all have. I’ve learned this through having a life coach'. ‘All these pressures (financial, work) are sucking the happiness and joy out of celebrations for the majority of us'. ‘We forget that life is a gift and it’s short'. ABOUT THE GUEST Becky Young is a celebrant with her own company, Forever Young Ceremonies. She has been a prison officer and Dundee’s first female train driver, and is a trained Insite to Wellbeing Facilitator, as well as having a profound passion for writing and poetry. She says: “My love for words allows me to weave stories that resonate on a personal level, capturing the essence of human experiences. Whether crafting personalized verses for special occasions or penning heartfelt reflections, my writing is a powerful extension of my character - friendly, funny, professional, and deeply relatable.” Becky@ForeverYoungCeremonies.com ABOUT THE HOST Despite a painful, traumatic childhood, Paul D. • Things I Didn't Know (11) - Paul D. Lowe & Keith Amoss
    Nov 7 2024
On this episode of the World Game-Changers podcast Paul talks to Keith Amoss about the things he didn’t know that he now knows and thinks the world should know. KEY TAKEAWAYS Are you comfortable in not knowing? There’s something about us as humans where we’re not that comfortable with it, we like to have things mapped out, simple things like what we’re eating tonight, where we’re going on holiday, what time work starts in the morning, who you’re speaking to on Zoom that day. As you get older, personally speaking, you get a little bit more worried about it in some areas and less in others. Ignorance over the years has come to mean someone who is despised. But it’s also a choice, a deliberate act. You can choose to get involved in what’s going on in the US election, for example, form an opinion, change your mind, look again, or if you think it’s too demanding for your soul you can choose to think whatever happens over there happens and I have no influence. What is impossible to know when you’re 18 is how you body is going to be and how you are going to be physically. When you’re older we can all look back and think I wish I’d taken a bit more care or done some things differently. BEST MOMENTS ‘A deliberate choice not to want to know more about a thing, I think that’s reasonable'. ‘Do we get to a stage in our autumn years of deliberately deny ourselves, or not thinking about important things about our future health, how we’ll live and be looked after. Do we think it won’t happen to us?’ ‘Living in the moment is so powerful. It’s not an easy concept to get at first but once you get it you get it'.
