Myra Savage is a self-proclaimed medium who lives with her husband, Bill, in a damp and oppressive home. Myra, who has been obsessed with spiritualism and contacting the dead, suffers from fragile mental health, and her desires for recognition and validation drive the couple into a desperate scheme. Believing herself to have psychic powers, she is fixated on proving her abilities to the world.
