    Betsey is a federally trained investigator and recently retiredsafety professional after 30+ years in the field. She has a degree in emergency management and served on disaster response teams at the Murrah Federal Building Bombing, the World Trade Center, and Hurricanes Katrina/Rita, as well as other disasters in Oklahoma.

    She wrote her first book at age six. Being a writer wasn'tsomething she chose. It chose her. Betsey is the author of the bestselling, award-winning paranormal thriller The Veritas Codex and the series of the same name.

    Her 7th book, The King's Ransom, won the top prize for Best Published Fiction Novel at WriterCon 2024. She's a frequent speaker at writing conferences and book clubs and enjoysengaging with fans and fellow writers. The Sultan's Stone is book 8 in The Veritas Codex Series coming summer 2025.

    She has experience as an amateur paranormal investigator and is an avid history buff and family genealogist. She's married and has two grown kids.
