Very interesting conversation - episode 1. I took a lot away from the “Let them, Let me”. I use this practice more in work than I do in my personal life. I could definitely use a lot more of it in my personal life - with immediate & extended family. I shared the episode with my 21 yr daughter. I think she’s stresses a lot about what others think of her. This may help her.

The ABC method - I do use a lot with my own dad who is 91 years old, still driving, dating, living alone, and traveling internationally. He is super independent but his health is declining and he’s getting a bit more forgetful. I will keep using this with him. And with my 24 year old son - who’s generally uncommunicative and still trying to find his way in this world.

I will replay this episode. I’m sure there is more I can get out of it. Thank you both for your honesty and hard work in putting this together.

Let them… let me…

Thank you for your raw honesty and vulnerability. This is exactly how I feel and your openness helps so much. Knowing I am not alone in my people pleaser/performer healing journey. I love you Chrissy!!!

I listened to this on a whim, when the title popped up on my homepage. I'm currently trying to improve my mental health and my relationships with those I love, so it seemed like a natural thing to listen to. I was astonished at how much I got out of it, and am very much looking forward to finding Mel robbins's book. Chrissy Teigen does a great job of both being real by showing and sharing her emotyion, and keeping things on track with well thought out questions.

Such a meaningful conversation?

I really enjoyed this podcast. I admired how the host allows herself to be vulnerable. I also really appreciate that there’s not a lot of time spent on introducing the guest or small talk about the host or the guest. I really appreciate it when a podcast jumps right in…after all, we are tuning in for the guest!

Great podcast!

Chrissy is sweet, vulnerable and relatable. I’m excited to see what guests she has and love her opening up about her insecurities on the Mel Robbins ep… oh, ME TOO, GIRL! I really had no idea she experienced that level of people pleasing and feeling the need to always perform and be a “good girl” for others too. I can relate, 100%. I have often not wanted to leave the house, because of worrying about dealing with people. What will their perception of me will be. Then going over that interaction for days …. I’m sure that wasn’t easy to share and I appreciate it. She has been so unfairly treated in the media for speaking up, I can’t imagine that magnification of being in the celebrity spot light and trying to be yourself. There are lots of podcasts, but I’m sure she will find her groove and this will be a success.

On a side note: I don’t know if Chrissy or her team will read this… but if by any chance she does: Chrissy, I want to truly Thank you. When you lost Jack, I was going through a miscarriage. You being open and talking about him helped me so much. I deeply appreciate that. Thank you for talking openly about therapy, mental health, and sobriety. I am also 2 years sober. Sending you a hug. I’m rooting for you! <3

I enjoyed this and now want to read the let them theory. Chrissy, though a little awkward in her questions at time, was open and vulnerable and enjoyable to listen to.
