    Tara also discusses her rewarding career as a drainage engineer for TxDOT, where she loves the variety of projects and the chance to work across Texas. She’s also proud of the entrepreneurial spirit she's been able to embrace at JMT, growing the water resources department in Texas from just herself and her first EIT to a thriving team of 12 full-time employees across 4 offices!

    Lastly, Tara opens up about her personal journey of managing lower back pain for 25 years and the healing she found through energy healing.

    In this episode of the Meet JMT podcast, we sit down with John Ogunleye, a Project Controls Specialist based in our Hunt Valley, MD office.

    John shares his passions for building and infrastructure, problem-solving, and leadership, which has shaped his career in construction management. He talks about his drive to tackle challenges, lead teams to success, and make meaningful contributions to society. Inspired by his dad, John was encouraged early on to pursue a career in the built environment.

    Throughout his time at JMT, John has contributed to major projects like the water main construction in Baltimore, as well as the Upton Neighborhood Water Main Replacement in West Baltimore—helping to improve water quality for the community.

    Outside of work, John is a team sports enthusiast, particularly soccer, which has helped him hone his leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. He’s also into photography and sightseeing, which complements his work on site visits and assessments.

    Rachel takes us through her journey from print design to discovering her passion for user experience (UX) design. She shares how she blends her technical knowledge with her love for design, crafting intuitive and impactful digital experiences.

    One of the standout projects Rachel worked on was the Vision Zero initiative for Anne Arundel County, aimed at eliminating crash-related deaths by 2050. The project was a huge success and earned the "Small Project of the Year" award from the County Engineers Association of Maryland!

    Outside of work, Rachel has a creative side – she’s into modern art and has even experimented with graffiti in her own basement!

    Tim shares his journey—from creating a unique degree in Architecture Marketing at the University of Maryland, to founding Elliott Sidewalk Communities, a real estate firm focused on redevelopment in university cities. Over two decades, Tim led urban plans and developments valued at over $1B across five cities.

    After selling his real estate holdings in 2024, Tim joined JMT to combine urban and economic planning, creating vibrant, community-centered spaces. He's currently working on exciting projects in four cities, including Oak Ridge, TN, a city with rich historical significance.

    Tim’s passion for architecture as art extends to his hobbies, which include oil painting, golfing, and beekeeping.
