March Week 1: Words to live by from Presidente Pepe and the Invasion of the Week

Did you know that the Spanish and Latinx provided pivotal aid and assistance to the United States to help us win the 18th Century American Revolutionary War? This week, we'll learn about the Governor of New Orleans, Antonio de Ulloa who provided this assistance to the rebels. (Don't worry, I can't pronounce his last name either. We can call him "Tony".) We'll hear words of wisdom from José Alberto "Pepe" Mujica Cordano, the amazing and unique former President of Uruguay. For our Invasion-of-the-Week, we'll viritually visit Bocas del Toro in Colombia in 1895, when undocumented and uninvited US troops invaded the sovereign nation of Colombia. This week is the Queen's Birthday -- not some stuffy British monarch, the talented Queen of Reggaeton. Martha Ivelisse Pesante, known professionally as Ivy Queen, celebrates her 50th birthday on March 4, 2022.
