On Fathers' Day, David and Dan discuss the disappointing three-game series for the Minnesota Twins in Houston, where the Astros completed a sweep that so easily could have been a series win for the Twins. They process the injuries to Royce Lewis and Byron Buxton, lamenting the absences as part of the wasted chance here that the Twins had to build back some momentum. They also have words for the people who designed the Astros baseball stadium (going all the way back to its beginnings) while also wondering about Rocco Baldelli's handling of SWR and whether he might have been channeling the coaching style of a Minnesota legend. For the fourth time in their last five, the Minnesota Twins lose a series, this time to the visiting Texas Rangers. Andrew "Hoges" Hoganson fills in for David and helps Dan make sense of an up-and-down series that included a wonderful Game 2 victory and then two ugly blowout losses. Hoges heaps the praise on a "mature" Byron Buxton but wonders about the longevity of this battered starting rotation. Dan talks with David about the experience of being there for such an exciting series, which from a neutral fan perspective would surely have been an excellent one to watch. The Twins lose their first series since May 1st, and the guys discuss the lack of offensive production being the reason why the team dropped this series. Dan wants to know how many jersey changes Pablo Lopez did during his start, and also wants the Twins to add a Designated Hitter for Keirsey Jr. David wants to know if the offense will pickup with the return of Buxton and Wallner from the IL, and how much will it need to pickup if the pitching stays this dominant. The Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals played three games that came down to the final inning, with the Twins taking the first two and the Royals taking the last. The heroes for the Twins included a more likely candidate in Ty France, and one that was less so (but perhaps shouldn't be so unlikely) in Kody Clemens. David and Dan discuss those heroics as well as the fine management of Rocco Baldelli, whose chess acumen David would love to test. Dan is again let down by the performance of Carson McCusker, who has yet to really show what he can do at the Big League level. They also look ahead to the Twins' longest road trip of the year.
