Life in the mountain pastures

People hike in the mountains for pleasure, as we are doing here on the Mount Tantané Nature Trail, but they also do it for work.

A prime example are the herders who accompany their livestock, along with their trusty dogs, along transhumance trails or who stay at high altitudes to make cheese.
