Julie writes about her Edna Ferber in the biography, Edna Ferber and Her Circle, and in her latest book, Giant Love: Edna Ferber, Her Best-selling Novel of Texas, and the Making of a Classic American Film. Julie has taught Creative Writing at New York University’s School of Continuing Education and currently heads The Writers Academy at The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this episode, Julie walks us through the Golden Age of Hollywood from the writer's desk of her aunt Edna Ferber, the Pulitizer Prize-winning novelist, short story writer and playwright. We can be what we read

When talent is vision into our heart and soul we are blessed. Thank you for keeping us in believing. Is this irony that Rock Hudson, the MAGA OF American fantasy must face the reality of James Dean in dimensions? Edna we are profoundly grateful for your courage.
I am encourage to know the history of Edn. I recommend her story to my granddaughters. I am in debt to Ms Gilbert for her courage to speak up for a woman of giant strength. It may be that the Edna’s history of our America will be banned. However I pray they miss Ms Gilbert’s truth in action.
