This mornings' live broadcast on KSFO 810 from 9 to 10 am Pacific time is Bob Tanem In The Garden with Edie Tanem; right here you've found the Podcast Edition of same, which has all the music and most of the commercials edited out. The other big difference between this podcast and the live show is you can call in to the live show on Sunday mornings and be on the radio; with the Podcast you can listen to Edie answer questions, but it isn't live and you can't call in. Even though you'll hear the phone number given out.

We did not feature a guest, it was all calls (and ruminations from our show host).

Our guest this morning on Bob Tanem In The Garden with Edie Tanem was Ronald Lane of Circadian Crop Sciences. Ronald found his company and is the CEO, but all this is a retirement job following a long academic career in agriculture and crop science.

Circadian has several products, all of which are designed to present alternatives to traditional and chemical pest control. Scalable from home gardens to big farms, these products offer least-toxic yet proven effective pest control and plant stimulation. As they say on the company web site, "when used as directed, pests are controlled and plants thrive."

This podcast presents the original KSFO broadcast minus most of the ads and all of the music.

Our guest this morning may be familiar to long time listeners of the show; John Valenzuela has been on in the past with Bob many times. He's a fruit tree specialist, and part of the California Rare Fruit Growers Association, and helping to promote his chapters' Scion Exchange here in SF next month. He's on the board of the Felix Gillet institute. He's at the heart of the edible plant community in California, and he spent a nice leisurely hour with us on the show today, talking fruit trees and taking calls from the audience -- and several other luminaries in the industry called in!

This podcast is the original radio show heard live on KSFO from 9 to 10 am, most commercials and musical interludes have been lifted out for policy compliance.
