I AM the Light of the World (2)

In this lesson, we focus on Who Jesus tells us He is. “I am the Light of the world. If you follow Me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12. Jesus further explains, “Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness…”Darkness represents life without God. But Jesus interrupted the darkness by shedding His Light, revealing the Truth of God’s love and His goodness toward mankind. Jesus made it possible for us to have a relationship with God. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬Acts 9:3-6 describes how Jesus’ Light confronted Saul of Tarsus as he zealously pursued Christians to persecute and even kill them. “The One Who is the true light, Who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world He created, but the world didn’t recognize Him. He came to His own people, and even they rejected Him.
