  • 282. How to Stay Sane When Life Feels Overwhelming
    Feb 25 2025

This week has been a whirlwind—moving, storing furniture, camping on mattresses, preparing for a major conference, finalizing a fully booked Queenstown retreat, and planning meetings in five nations. With an endless to-do list, it would be easy to feel overwhelmed. But instead, I’m choosing peace. I

n this episode, I share practical strategies for staying focused, maintaining energy, and getting things done without burnout.

    Good News Update:

✅ Conference numbers and revenue are back up and over pre-2020 levels.

✅ Queenstown retreat is fully booked and fully awesome.

✅ We found replacement tenants, saving six months of contract rent!

    Key Takeaways:

Write It Down – Get everything out of your head and onto paper. Prioritize what must be done today.

Walk and Pray in the Spirit – Shift focus from stress to God’s presence (1 Corinthians 14:15).

Be Aware of Mental Overload – Catch your brain bouncing between tasks and refocus on one thing at a time.

Move Your Body – Push-ups, gym time—physical movement resets your mind and energy.

Hug Your Spouse – Connection matters, even in busy seasons.

Ask Holy Spirit for Help – The best strategist, problem-solver, and source of peace.

Give Grace to Yourself and Others – High-pressure seasons require kindness, not perfection.

Celebrate Small Wins – Acknowledge progress instead of focusing on what’s left undone.

Final Thought: Instead of saying, “I have too much to do,” remind yourself: “I get to do this. I am fully equipped for this moment.” Overwhelm is real, but so is peace.
