This episode is brought to you by Airbnb. Recently, I’ve been on the road spreading the word about my new children's book, That’s My Truck: A Good Inside Story About Hitting!. I’m so grateful and excited to be on this book tour, connecting with our community in person. And it’s also true that being away from home can feel hard. • Don’t Pardon Me, I’m an Inconvenient Woman
    Mar 25 2025

In this follow-up to last week’s Calling All “Good Girls” episode, Dr. Becky dives deeper into embracing the role of the “inconvenient woman.” What begins with a simple “I want my coffee my way” moment evolves into a powerful realization: Identifying, owning, and articulating our desires as women can be incredibly uncomfortable. Dr. Becky encourages all self-identifying “Good Girls” to reflect on what they truly want for themselves and to embrace the inconvenience that comes with pursuing it.

Today’s episode is brought to you by Airbnb. Traveling during spring break can feel tricky because we can’t necessarily take time off work when our kids are off from school. And trying to join a Zoom meeting from your hotel room or your in-laws' kitchen doesn’t always feel great. This is why I love Airbnb when we travel–I can find a place with plenty of room to spread out, including a desk or table for dedicated work time, making it easier to have dedicated connection time with my kids. And, if you’re thinking of traveling for spring break, consider hosting your home on Airbnb, too! It’s a great way to help offset the cost of booking one yourself while opening up your space for another family also traveling! Your home might be worth more than you think. • Calling All "Good Girls"
    Mar 18 2025

As adult women, why is it so difficult to answer the question, "What do I want for myself?" Why does it feel uncomfortable to claim our desires? In this episode, Dr. Becky explores the good girl conditioning we've been taught since childhood and challenges women to break free from these constraints. She inspires us to embrace being inconvenient, and put ourselves first.

Wow! The Voices in our Head!

This was an enlightening episode, fascinating, really! We all do have different voices and I loved how we can ask our calm self to stay. Things go better when that self stays. When we are sick or tired and do or say things we regret it is very important to repair! Go back apologize and tell them how you wished you would have handled it. I also loved how you praised the mom that was just present with her child.

The best parenting advice available.

I am a parent coach myself and the father of four year old twin boys. I have read lots of books about parenting young children and have appreciated the value of many parenting “experts.” Listening (binging) to Dr.Becky over the last month has solidified many of my ideas and really helped me with lots of practical ideas to support my children. She covers it all. Nervous system regulation, boundaries, emotional validation and does this while affirming the emotional toll that comes with being a parent. I bow to Dr. Becky’s insight and creative, honest exploration of her own parenting process. I listened to these podcasts while riding my bike to work and there were many times I was pumping my fists in the air knowing that other parents are learning these skills and helping to create a healthier future for their children. Thank you Dr. Becky.

Hands down, Dr. Becky is EVERYTHING!

“Parenting is so easy!” said no one ever... and PS, there is no handbook... until now. Dr. Becky is my go to source for parenting techniques and I swear by her golden nuggets of practical and realistic advice. I even catch my own “self talk” shifting from a place of shame and blame to curiosity and nurturing. She is a total family game changer. I am a huge HUGE fan and highly recommend this podcast, her IG, workshop and anything else! Thank you for including us in your journey, Dr. Becky! You are such an inspiration!

Not impressed.

As a mom of two, degree in ECE, and over 10 years of working with young children this podcast is not something I’m impressed with. I listened to two of them. I will be looking for a better approach to positive reinforcement and natural consequences.
