Hello, and welcome to my podcast. I first went viral on TikTok after telling the story of how I got stuck buying 100 tacos on a first date. Since then, it’s been a wild and crazy ride. I now have millions of eyeballs watching my videos on a daily basis (which is just a terrifying number of eyeballs, honestly).

Each week on my podcast Funny Cuz It’s True, I’ll be sitting down with my favorite creators, friends and comedians to find the stories that have stuck with them and changed their lives in small ways. Not so funny moments that have become funny over time. I want to know how they handled these situations and learned to laugh about them years later. How do they do it? Great question, I’d love to tell you (but you have to listen to find out).

When I first discovered Elise Meyers on TikTok, I loved her stories. I compare her storytelling is so compelling and reminds me of some of the great monologists. With this podcast, we get even more Elise and it’s very interesting.

Elyse is ah-May-zing! I do NOT like podcasts but I loved listening to the first two episodes of Funny Cuz It’s True and I cannot wait for more episodes! I laughed out loud, multiple times and nodded furiously in agreement, every 30 seconds. Thank you for making a podcast I can’t wait to listen to!!

I should preface that I’m 50 years old so I’m not the TikTok generation….. and I loooove Elyse! I just heard that she started a podcast & i ran straight over to follow! I’m writing this review before I hear one single syllable of this podcast! She is humble she’s insightful she’s witty and I’ll listen to or watch any and everything she ever puts out! Congratulations Elyse!!!! Well deserved !

Elyse makes me feel alive and whole. I think a lot of us walk around thinking that we're strange, weird, living in a fishbowl watching everybody else live what we want. She makes me feel normal and part of something that I desperately needed. Between this podcast and her content on TikTok, I am constantly reminded that weird is the new normal, and if normal looks the way I've always thought it should be, I really don't want much to do with it. Thanks to everybody who produces this podcast and especially Elyse for lending her voice to the ears that need it.

I have followed Elyse since the 100 taco incident, lol, and I absolutely adore her! I follow her on Instagram, and my kids and I watch her videos together all the time and we laugh our faces off. And now we get to enjoy the sound of her voice and all of her quirks and giggles on this incredible podcast! I love how genuine and true to herself she is, flaws and all, and I know that the journey to get to this place of self acceptance and self love wasn't easy (it never is!) but I'll be forever thankful and proud that she made the journey and became this amazing woman who is unapologetically who she is! Thank you Elyse for every single piece of content you create! Please don't ever stop because you are a phenomenal human being. ✨️💜✨️
