Acerca de esta escucha
For this episode of Writers On The Beat, acclaimed author and screenwriter Aaron Philip Clark steps into the Interrogation Room to try getting his story straight. Aaron is a native son of Los Angeles, and he’s written works acclaimed by some of the heaviest hitters in writing today. Prior to putting pen to paper, he worked for the LAPD, and his experiences there informed his first fiction novel that came out last fall, entitled UNDER COLOR OF LAW. The main character, Trevor Finnegan, made critical errors during his rookie year that both set his career in motion and haunt his conscience. The second installment in this series, BLUE LIKE ME, releases in the fall of 2022.
In this episode, Aaron and host Gavin Reese discuss writing authentic crime fiction, creating relatable and gripping characters, and who Aaron would want investigating his own homicide.
