Author needed a better editor
Story mildly interesting with great opportunity but started many threads that were useless and not helpful to the narrative as they just trailed into anything without adding to the story. Massive time jumps that avoided what should have been the key resolution to the storyline. I would have asked for credit back if it wasn’t free

Riveting. You can feel for the main characters
I love how you learn (well I did) about real estate law. The plight of this couple is endearing. Makes you look at homeless people in a new light. Also makes you wonder about your neighbors. Well read. Well written. I chose well.

Definitely interesting
First two episodes I was unsure if I was going to keep listening because i was unsure about it. It didn’t suck me in right away BUT.. Im glad I continued because it definitely got interesting and has a cool twist. Also hits home to the sh$t that is going on in California and it’s f$ucked up!👏🏼

Absolutely love it
Incredible story and plot twist. The actors were amazing and it had me hooked from start to finish.

The concept was awesome, however
The story had a great concept and I like the way it was going and it just left us hanging in the end. Not even a cliffhanger no nothing just left us hanging. Unfortunately that's not acceptable. That's why I had to give it low marks

Can’t believe I listened as long as I did! So bad.
This was an absolute waste of time. The story is trite, boring and just stupid. I thought it might be a silly yet entertaining listen. I was wrong. I should not have listened to as many episodes as I did.

Not as Expected and Anti-White
I wanted to like this. It sounded fun for Halloween and I'm a fan of Lamorne Morris. Upfront, this is not horror/scary. It's suspenseful for about a minute (easy to predict, though) and then takes it to an over-the-top social commentary. The cast and the production are very good, but the writing is not. It's apparent that being anti-racism doesn't mean equality, but reverse racism. In the first episode, there is a comment about "white-@$$" neighbors, and how the couple wants to have a BBQ to meet the neighbors but never become friends with them (the horror!). If you a judging your neighbors by their skin color and already don't like them, why do you feel the need to move to said neighborhood and impress them? And, of course, the white neighbors are all gossips and holier-than-thou's. Both the commentary and the lack of scares let me down. Would not recommend.
SPOILERS:
Not a ghost story at all. After meeting Manny, I guessed he was living in the house. Also, it was ridiculous that the cops would expect homeowners with paperwork to leave without even seeing the paperwork. There is an interview with the authors at the end where they explain how the audience would be torn, not knowing who to feel sorry for. You think I'm going to feel sorry for Manny!? Manny is a con, a manipulator, and a thief who tried to cheat good people out of a home they paid for. Clearly, Brandon and Justine deserve the house they saved for and want to raise a family in. Your view of the world is skewed if you think Manny deserves sympathy.
