Acerca de esta escucha

It was a terribly tragic case that played out in front of the eyes of millions of Americans. The Watts Family Murders haunt Jim and Kathy, who dive deeply into the victimology of the family, and the personality, psychology and behavior of the killer.©2024 Audible Originals, LLC (P)2024 Audible Originals, LLC

Information from people and programs like this have such good information for us all of us to learn from. Like the Boston Marathon i learned alot about the kind of people that comit these crimes and why and how they think.

He is so loud. He’s the guy at the party that demands all of the attention. He comes across as very full of himself. In addition to his demonstrative demeanor, he throws around psychiatric diagnoses like marshmallows in lucky charms—incorrectly I will add. Furthermore, I really question a lot of their supposition in regard to motivations of suspects in this series. I know that I probably sound pompous right now myself, these are FBI profilers (still, I’m a licensed professional that specializes in diagnostics and assessment). Now the woman, she’s a lot easier to listen to, and I feel like her assessment skills are better, though she often has to fight to get a word in, she has disagreed with/corrected him at times. I don’t know what either of their background is (educationally speaking), but we shouldn’t throw around diagnoses, especially when representing yourself as a professional, or as an authority on the subject matter. It’s interesting material (I love analyzing the human mind), but I could do without his theatrics.

Male Narrator is Pompous and Boisterous

I love listening to these two talk about their cases. Amazing to hear the behind the scenes narration of the biggest cases in America. These two are awesome !

Love Jim and Cathy

I disliked the emotional ranting and insults. Yes, the criminals are awful people. But two minutes ranting out of five is just over the top. It doesn’t leave much space for analysis or describing the unfolding of the crime or its solution. If I wanted loose emotionally charged rants, I can get them in many other places. I expected more dispassionate discussions.

Short on analysis and narrative

I believe the title says it all. Just pseudoscience. The hosts are awful as well. Unlistenable.
