I appreciate all the Audible editors

This is a difficult time, and I appreciate hearing from each Audible editor who contributed to Audicted this month. I’m so glad you didn’t skip it this month! I’m at home alone and glad to hear any conversation. Audicted is free, and if it’s not to someone’s taste this month, maybe just don’t listen and try again next month? I saw some harsh reviews of this episode, and I wish we could be kinder and less specific. I enjoyed this episode, and as I said, I’m happy to have the company at home. I also saw a review that questioned why the editors didn’t talk about some books that were recommended and reviewed in past months. Again, that seems unfair to the editors to me. Maybe listeners will go back to prior episodes for specific reviews. Thank you, Audible editors for this half hour of distraction for me!

Too much valley girl

Your effort is very much appreciated, but I couldn't listen very long. The ending of every sentence spoken lifts to make it a question ... maybe very cool lingo among friends, but professionals avoid the camp trends such as this. Just sayin'

Agree: Valley Giirl talk is very annoying

Like another reviewer, I coudln't listen to at least two of the speakers because I find Valley Girl talk very, very annoying. So I used the 30-second fast forwrd to move on to the next speaker. Also was not very interested in their views and reactions. But thank you, Audible, for trying. Surely you can find less annoyng speakers next time.

Puke-a-tronic

Holly shit!! I agree with most of the reviews here. This is disgusting. Phrases like “now that I’m cooking and cleaning more I feel like a pioneer woman”
“It’s not really me but with so much free time now”
“Now that we’re spending time with our SO’s and family”

What kind of individual is this? Audible needs to send these things out into the real world. If you’re reality is based off of tv news, Facebook feeds and Twitter, this is what you get.
Jesus Christ. Even audibles conscience is a shitty latte blond.
I don’t know if I wanna keep my subscription now. Truly horrific.

More diversity needed among reviewers

This Audible program consists of three female reviewers discussing books that would be interesting among their female listeners. I enjoy Audible & would like to hear reviews that I can relate to as a middle-aged male. My wife and I are both avid readers; however, our reading tastes are far different. Although Audible does a great job among their listening choices, I am very disappointed in their lack of diversity among their reviewers. After listening to this review, I felt as if I had sat in on a conversation with my daughter and two of her friends, while they discussed their favorite books.

Diversity???

This review is not for posting. It is really for you Audible. I hope you read it and consider the thoughts and ideas shared here.

I was very disappointed to hear the lack of diversity in the discussed titles. There is so much more out there than what was offered. The titles were diverse in genre but every author was White. And no, it's not a "Black or White" thing. It's a "perspectives" thing.
What a wonderful time to introduce your readers to some of the great and some of the up and coming great writers of color. Not just to introduce their work, but to share a perspective that most Americans can't fathom, can't understand, never gave thought to.
Why not recommend some James Baldwin or Toni Morrison? Are you only recommending new books? "The Girl Who Fell From The Sky", "Black Is The Body", "The Yellow House", are all books I've read and listened to recently that expose aspects of the Black experience.
One of the best (in my opinion) books of 2019 is "The Water Dancer" by Coats. Have any of you listened to it? It's a captivating story with a mix of history and mythology It's beautifully written and wonderfully preformed. Yet nothing mentioned in this broadcast came close to such a story.
This is but one author, book, and idea that I would have loved to have heard on the list.

Someone wrote a review that said "Too much Valley girl". And another agreed in their post. This translates to "too much of the White perspective". That should tell you your lacking diversity here.

I hope I don't offend in a way that causes you to dismiss my words. Instead, I hope you consider the possibility that you may need to add more perspective to your editing group.
