  • Psalm 119 week 7 verse 39
    Jun 4 2025

Psalm 119:39 says, “Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good.”

Another way of saying this verse would be: God take away the scorn, shame, disgrace and negative consequences that we fear for not living in alignment to You. Also, protect us from the negative consequences others would put upon us for following after You, God, and trusting in You and Your ways.

After today we only have one week left. Continue with me during this 8-week series on Psalm 119:33-40. Each week I will teach verse by verse and break down their meaning. May 21 2025

Psalm 119:38 says, “Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.”

This verse is often a cry of our hearts. That we would see God confirm His Word and promises to us because we are dedicated to serve Him and we revere Him. The word of God says, His promises never fail and they stand firm. However during times of difficulty our hearts cry out to God to show us and to make good on His promises.

  • Psalm 119 week 4 verse 36
    May 14 2025

Psalm 119:36 says, ”Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.”

We all need to escape the path/road to selfish gain and our own selfish desires. This verse is a powerful decree and a direct request for God to direct our hearts towards loving Him, His commandments and His word. In addition to us not being trapped by the dangers of greed, material possessions or accolades. Instead the request is to turn our hearts and give us a desire for spiritual pursuits.
