JOIN OUR BOOK CLUB! https://links.fable.co/aiMtu8GyWNb Also enjoy our summary book notes: Chapter 38: • Not enough to use for signets • They've been gone for weeks, no withdrawals like I expected • Sgaeyl chewed out xaden when they could talk again, makes her promise to not put herself between him and another when he was like that • Aaric translates, they were excited to see them, asks where the Irid is, andarna shows off • Must play a game of receiving a gift from God of luck to meet the queen, no one should complain • Mira got wine, dain for a slap to the face, rusty bucket, broken hand mirror, empty glass box for xaden, and compass for violet (points to the Den?), big ol kiss for ridoc, ruby, a kitten for Drake • An arrow for trager, sad but we're hoping Cat gets with Bodhi Chapter 39: • Everyone must react neutral, cat broken, gryphon 💀 • Violet accepts the gifts, they go back to the sleeping dragons, except one • This earned them allies, Cat handling it well, must burn them 💀 but not on the island • Plan to split and to check the minor isles • Cat filled with guilt • Violet feels guilty, xaden points out andarna chose her for this mission and no matter what a general chose her and she thinks he chose poorly. • Xaden says there is no cure when she says she will find it Chapter 40: • Tairn carries the Gryphon, worry the map is drawn incorrectly (ocean is almost black only moonlight illuminates- stand by me) • Found a tiny magic filled isle, bury the bodies, kitten named broccoli • They think they are lost, they split into 5, Garrick with Xaden, Ridoc with Violet, everyone shocked • Xaden is tempted but has no need, Violet points out she is a trigger, he disagrees but says she owns his soul • Ridoc's dragon drenches him in water, ridoc spilled itching powder on him, only one pair of boots • 6 IRIDS!!!!! • Hello human Chapter 41: • Ridoc shows up barefoot, dragons speaking to her, you speak our language? We are magic • Ridoc can hear?? They whistle • She is the criterion • Tairn lands above Violet • They came to speak to Andarna, they are shocked by her tail, they're all feathertails, they all lay down lol • Tairn stands up for Andarna and she was embarrassed by it • The irids judge violet for allowing it, they look at her wing, they fly away • Reminds me of meeting the fliers • Violet failed their test for using her and making her a weapon • They say said the dragons gifted the humans their signets and Andarna gave violet the most dangerous Chapter 42: • They call her a horror of what violet has made • They've been following her, used her to test the humans • There is no cure as it kills the soul • Andarna says she can kill dark wielders and they just say she's hopeless • You speak peace while only knowing privilege 😭 • They do not accept her • Andarna feels shame • They see xaden and call him an abomination, red rings (being near the irids?) • Ridoc realizes why violet has been looking for a cure Chapter 43: • Ridoc told, mira told about the irids, plan to head home through the isles • She discusses more with Ridoc, admits he's channeled at least 3 times. • Ridoc gives her a reality check, no accounts of Initiates walking away • She strikes a tree • Makes her draw a line and he will fully support her • Hurts without reason, hurts violet • Walked away holding hands, did xaden hear it all from the shadows? • Ridoc demands violet tells rhi, sawyer, jesinia, xaden corrected ridoc "When he turns" • Xaden feels like the worse thing for the mission • 10 days later in deverelli, been gone for 3 weeks, big welcome hug in Basgiath • Letter from T • Queen maraya is 💀

He took liliths name? • The left with 2 isles to go, everyone is exhausted, gryphons struggling• Humans waving, more colorful location than the last• Flying in to the amphitheater, people cheering and excited for their arrival• Magic

Chapter 19:• Excerpt: fliers should keep their gem next to their heart or else downfall• Riot of 8, halden got Mira to go with, they leave andarna in samara. • 12 hrs until she feela pain from being away from andarna, makes sense riders would die being gone too long from dragons just like Barlowe and channeling from the ground• Tairn doesn't listen to Grady lol, wielding in drained territory draws venin, mira think grady is trying to fail the mission• Officers go in the house, Aura and Vi stay out, aura panicks when xaden pops out and torches Grady 💀, town on fire, begs him to stop putting out the fire • Wyvern takes out Aura • Xaden grabs violet, wrapped in shadows, tairn grabs them, violet worried to wield, tairn corrects xaden has been closer while she wields 😂• They make it back to samara, mira did get the stone (cracked and hazy) a note to the lightning wielder from theophanie • Theophanie knew, (Xaden doesnt know how to block the venin??)Chapter 20:• Vi researching devereli, no answers from barlowe, and the manuscript • Violet has an inkling about her dads hypothesis and not telling us!• Ridoc wants to go, sawyer has a metal prosthetic leg and joining classes• Ridoc froze the inside of the orange• Drake, Cat's cousin, at the meeting, mira missing.• Violet a bad ass bitch!! Daaaaaaammmnnn• Demands to choose her squad, puts Markum in his place as he wants to search aretia, tells ateos she speaks for the empyrean• Halden impressed lol • Xaden has been given many proposals • At the end, violet gets her way and she is impressed ridoc didn't make any remarks, "i kept the inside thoughts inside"• Mira punches Drake in the nuts 😂 and she calls out the absurdity of the squad, tairn agrees
