  • Declaring Victory | Holy Week 2025

The triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday reveals a profound spiritual truth—we can declare His victory even before we see it manifest in our circumstances. As the crowd laid palm branches and personal cloaks before Jesus, they were making powerful declarations about His worth and identity as the promised Messiah.

Those palm fronds weren't just convenient decorations; in the scorching Middle Eastern climate, they represented precious shade. By cutting and laying them down, people demonstrated that Jesus was worth more than their comfort. Similarly, their cloaks represented social status and personal identity—laying these down showed a willingness to surrender everything for Christ. These weren't empty gestures but heartfelt expressions of worship flowing from deep conviction about who Jesus was.

This Palm Sunday message challenges us to examine what we're declaring through our worship. Are we lifting high the name of Jesus with the same enthusiasm we show for sports teams or entertainment? Are we making declarative statements about His victory over our circumstances, regardless of what we can currently see? The crowd's cries of "Hosanna to the Son of David" recognized Jesus as the fulfillment of prophecy, even though they didn't fully understand the spiritual nature of His kingdom.

The cleansing of the temple further illustrates how Jesus makes room for holy purposes. By driving out those who had commercialized worship, He created space for healing the blind and lame. Similarly, He wants to clear away anything in our lives that hinders His work of restoration and transformation. When we align our hearts with His purposes, we position ourselves to experience His blessing and provision in supernatural ways.

Ready to declare Christ's victory over every area of your life? Join us for Holy Week services including Good Friday reflections and Easter Sunday celebrations. Let's proclaim together that Jesus is Lord over every circumstance, every challenge, and every broken place in our world.

  • The Eyes Have it | Kingdom Builders
    Apr 7 2025

What happens when God disrupts your vision and redirects your focus to places no one wants to go? Mark and Dalene Good share their remarkable 30-year journey as missionaries, from Bangladesh to France and now to the overlooked Benelux region of Europe.

These veteran church planters take us through a spiritual eye exam, challenging us to develop the three dimensions of spiritual vision: eyesight (seeing what God sees), insight (feeling what God feels), and foresight (knowing what to do about it). Through powerful stories like Clara, a trafficked woman who experienced God's intervention when a client tried to strangle her, and Julie, a skeptical French student who eventually asked to study the Bible, we glimpse the spiritual hunger beneath Europe's secular exterior.

The spiritual crisis in Europe is more severe than most realize. In France, where secularism was born, faith in God has been replaced with faith in self, leading to epidemic levels of mental health struggles. "We were never designed to be God," Mark explains. "We were never designed to wear the weight of having to be God in our lives, and it's literally crushing people to death." In Luxembourg, merely 0.25% of the population knows Jesus, while Belgium's Dutch-speaking region has only 40 small churches averaging 15 people each, mostly led by aging pastors with no successors.

This message parallels Paul's vision in Acts 16, where a Macedonian man begged him to "come over and help us." Just as Macedonia was an overlooked military buffer zone in Paul's day, Benelux occupies a similar position today – overrun in wars, not a destination anyone chooses, yet desperately in need of the gospel. If we could hear Europeans' spiritual cry, Mark suggests, it would be "an SOS with two exclamation points."

What barriers is God asking you to cross? Whether it's praying more intentionally for unreached peoples, giving sacrificially to missions, or stepping out in faith to share Christ with a neighbor, the Goods' testimony reminds us that when we obey God's redirections, He provides everything we need for the journey.

    Mar 31 2025

In this deeply moving and often humorous episode, the Pangelinan family takes us on an unforgettable journey through their eleven years as missionaries in Thailand. Johnny and Andrea, alongside their children, share raw, unfiltered stories that capture both the challenges and triumphs of bringing hope to places where the gospel has never been heard.

The family recounts extraordinary testimonies that showcase God's supernatural work in remote Thai villages. From a woman who experienced a divine vision while clinically brain dead to communities transformed through simple acts of faith, these stories reveal how God consistently shows up in "no-name places" that most have forgotten. One particularly powerful account details how a healing miracle potentially saved a young mother and her baby from human trafficking—a stark reminder of the tangible impact spiritual transformation has on vulnerable lives.

What makes the Pangelinan's ministry unique is their relationship-centered approach to church planting. Rather than imposing complicated methodologies, they focus on building genuine connections with local Thai people. This has led to remarkable growth, including the construction of several church buildings in previously unreached areas and the discipleship of indigenous leaders who continue spreading the gospel.

Johnny shares the cultural realities of missionary life with disarming honesty and humor—from eating field rats at church celebrations to encounters with elephants and leeches during ministry trips. Yet beneath these entertaining anecdotes lies a profound theological message about identity in Christ. The Pangilinans teach new Thai believers the critical distinction between receiving a new heart through salvation and the ongoing need to renew the mind through discipleship.

Ready to be challenged, inspired, and perhaps even called to action? Listen as the Pangelinan family demonstrates what happens when ordinary people say an extraordinary "yes" to God's mission—and discover how you might be part of extending Christ's kingdom to places where His name isn't yet known.

  • What Really Matters | Kingdom Builders
    Mar 24 2025

    Send us a text

What truly matters when this life is over and we stand before God? Pastor Larry Henderson, who oversees all European missionaries for Assemblies of God World Missions, delivers a soul-stirring message about living with eternal perspective.

Having planted churches in the Canary Islands and led a dynamic 3,000-person multicultural congregation in Vienna, Pastor Larry shares powerful stories of lives transformed by the gospel. From a brain-injured man who prioritized his wife's salvation over his own healing to a Syrian refugee who found the supernatural ability to forgive ISIS for killing his entire family, these testimonies reveal how encountering Jesus fundamentally changes what we value.

The heart of this message centers on three profound truths. First, people matter immensely to God—Jesus didn't die for buildings or political causes but for human souls. Second, how we live matters—our authentic Christ-like behavior speaks more powerfully than our words in a world skeptical of religion but desperate for genuine spirituality. Finally, eternity matters—what we do today echoes forever in light of Jesus' certain return.

Pastor Larry takes us to war-torn Ukrainian villages where mayors testify, "The government forgot us, NGOs left, but the church comes every week," revealing how Kingdom Builders giving translates into tangible hope. He challenges us with the urgent words of missiologist Carl Henry: "The gospel is only good news if it gets there in time."

As Cornerstone prepares for Kingdom Builders commitments, this message reminds us why giving beyond our tithes to support missionaries matters eternally. The question isn't whether we'll leave a legacy, but what kind of legacy we'll leave. Will you embrace the opportunity to live for what really matters—bringing others with you to heaven?

  • Through Christ | Philippians
    Mar 17 2025

    Send us a text

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." These familiar words take on profound meaning when we understand their context - written by Paul while imprisoned for his faith. Far from a prosperity promise, this declaration reveals the secret to finding strength regardless of circumstances.

Throughout this message, we journey across continents to see this truth in action. From South Korean believers worshiping amid busy cityscapes to Nepalese pastors gathering despite harsh conditions, from Cuban Christians facing government opposition to Kenyan believers meeting under shade trees - the power of identity in Christ transcends cultural boundaries and difficult circumstances.

Paul's letter to the Philippians serves as both challenge and encouragement. Though imprisoned, he urges believers to "rejoice in the Lord always" and experience "peace that passes understanding." This supernatural peace comes not from favorable circumstances but from prayer and God's presence, guarding our hearts and minds when anxiety threatens to overwhelm.

The key lies in understanding whose we are before determining what we do. Our citizenship is in heaven, our allegiance to God first. This identity empowers us to press toward the goal despite obstacles, understanding that none of us is perfect but we belong to Christ who makes us His own. When we guard our thoughts and focus on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable, we cultivate the mind of Christ.

God doesn't promise that following Him will be easy - Paul certainly didn't find it so. But He does promise His presence, His peace, and His provision according to "His riches in glory." Whether in plenty or want, abundance or need, we find strength not in ourselves but in Christ who strengthens us. Will you embrace this identity today and discover what it means to truly live victoriously?

  • Jesus Is Lord | Philippians
    Mar 10 2025

    Send us a text

"Jesus is Lord" - three simple words that carry life-changing power when truly embraced. But what does this declaration really mean for our daily lives?

In our journey through Philippians, we discover how this proclamation transforms both our personal character and our impact on the world around us. From the streets of Bangkok's red light district to our local community outreach through Mercy House, we witness how declaring Christ's lordship brings tangible freedom to the spiritually oppressed and practically serves "the least of these" with dignity and hope.

The apostle Paul's letter to the Philippians stands out among his writings as uniquely positive - thanking them for their consistency in faith and sacrificial living. We're challenged to follow their example by adopting the mind of Christ, who though divine, humbled himself to the point of death on a cross. This radical humility stands in stark contrast to our culture's celebration of self-promotion and achievement.

Perhaps most challenging is Paul's call to "do all things without grumbling or disputing" so we might shine as lights in a dark world. When life squeezes us through difficult circumstances, what comes out? Complaints or the love of Christ? God is still working on each of us, chiseling away what doesn't reflect His character.

Whether you've walked with Jesus for decades or are considering following Him for the first time, this message invites you to make Jesus the true Lord of every aspect of your life - your relationships, your work, your attitudes, and your future. Because when we hold fast to Him through every circumstance, we experience the freedom, purpose and joy that comes only through His lordship.

Ready to experience what happens when Jesus is truly Lord of your life? Join our community as we learn to live out this powerful declaration together.

We reminisce about those formative moments that highlight how collective support can fortify our journeys, especially when faced with life's little (and not so little) challenges. It's a beautiful reminder of the human connection that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, and how a community can become a pivotal part of our personal stories.

Throughout the episode, we unravel the intricate tapestry of faith, family, and community, drawing from the divine blueprint of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We explore how love and service are not just lofty ideals but practical tools for strengthening the bonds in our lives. By looking at the reinvention of familiar brands like Stanley and Crocs, we ponder how fresh perspectives can rejuvenate our approaches to building connections. The conversation challenges us to rethink our interactions, placing kindness and service at the forefront of our relationships, much like the teachings of Jesus.

As we turn our focus to the transformative power of unconditional love, we contemplate its role in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and beyond. Embracing the calling to be more Christ-like, we discuss how displaying such love can lead to profound positive changes in our surroundings. Our dialogue culminates in a community prayer for Garden Lakes Elementary, underscoring the essential support believers can offer through prayer and presence. With an invitation to embrace faith, we hope to inspire listeners to weave love, kindness, and service into the very fabric of their lives. Join us as we journey through these stories and reflections, striving to be more like Jesus each day.
