Bonding with the Backcountry Boys: Part 1

We sit down with Dan and Steve, aka the Backcountry Boys, two incredible brothers and bonsai experts. We've been fortunate to build a relationship with these guys, working on their trees in Wyoming, and recently, they made the bold choice to drive their collected material all the way to Mirai. We had a blast together—barbecuing, drinking coffee, and talking bonsai. This first part of our conversation dives deep into their journey as yamadori collectors, their approach to sustainable collecting, and the joy of seeing their hard work come to life.
