The couple is separated, by both time and distance, when Trace leaves on a quest of vengeance for the death of his parents leaving Carrie behind. The search takes longer than Trace expects. There has been no communication between the two of them during all these months. On his return, he finds Carrie and her family have moved under strange circumstances and no one knows their whereabouts. He then begins a search for her. Just how long will a person search for a lost love? How long will the love last? Will the love survive when other people and circumstances come into their separate lives? After a long separation, would their love still be the same? During the years of separation, Trace has gone by the name of Johnny Rains, a hardened gunman. Will the love and the man still be the same?
