THE STORY

Pursued by the dark forces of the necromancer Heinrich Kemmler, Gotrek and Felix arrive at Castle Reikgard, where they must hold out against the zombie hordes.The brutality of the siege is unremitting as wave after wave of horrific creatures, led by the undead champion Krell, attempt to take the walls. With supplies running low and morale sinking, the defenders begin to hear terrible whispers and endure awful nightmares. Suspicion and paranoia run rampant within the castle walls, and the defence seems impossible.

Can Gotrek and Felix hold out against Kemmler's ever-growing legion until help arrives, or will the Slayer find his doom amidst the unrelenting undead?

Well done, with a twist!

As always, very well done and the author stays true to the characters. The plot twist was CRAZY!

Great flow to the story

This was a fun story full of interesting twists and turns. Had a more complete ending

One of my absolute favorites in the series

i dont know if i have any compliments left i havent said about mr keeble - zombie siege - undead horde of monsters - treachery within the keep - this book has it all. ive been waiting some time for us to get here. perfectly fine to pick up at any point if you want to read about gotrek fighting the undead. must have - must listen. top tier.

Fantastic book!

A great story as all the Gotrek and Felix books are. This isn't one of the best of them so far but still fantastic in my opinion.

Can GOTREK and Felix be stopped?
I think not.
The duo has survived daemons, orca, dragon, troll, vampires, shamans, dark elves and a multitude of other evil forces.
Despite all the battering and sticky situation’s they wiggle their way free and survive.
How?
The gods?
The rune-axe?
Who knows but it’s great prose, and they killing pros!

A bit a slow burn

More suspense than outright adventure is still a great addition. It feels more like a setup for future novels.

Takes a while to get going but overall enjoyable narrator n a i l s it as usual.

Loved it

A great bumble power fantasy as always a definite must for the collection. Definitely saw some of the twists but that mostly came from familiarity to the universe

Fantastic Warhammer at its best

Long gets it. I’ll listen to anything Keeble reads. This is the best warhammer series for those who love the grit, the glory, and the slaying.

Performance

The narration is amazing but sadly the story spins too long stuck in the castle.
