Dollar was an insurance investigator who received a cut of the money he saved his agency for proving an insurance claim was not on the level. His insurance cases usually led to murder and a beautiful woman.

Dollar is the name.
Once again I must say Johnny Dollar is one of the greatest radio shows ever. The role has been played my many actors, Edmond O’Brien, and Bob Bailey being the best of the bunch. Dollar is great detective royal, dangerous, smart and unluckily in love.
