Innovative and imaginative short stories
I greatly enjoyed all of the stories in this collection and the unique perspectives they yielded on science fiction. The most touching stories, which brought me to tears, involved elderly women. Once I was used to Chung’s specific narrative voice, I really enjoyed the stories.
I appreciate the greater social and environmental concerns that Chung wrote about, and I think this collection was a wonderful contribution to science fiction as a transgressive and innovative art form. Also, I thought the narration did justice to the narrative tone of the stories.
