A brilliant satire on university life, I laughed silently throughout this unique offering. Brava! to Alexander McCall Smith for daring to press so many buttons (with his usual sensitivity) and Brava! to Paul Hecht for the perfect tone of voice throughout. How challenging it must be to get the tone just right so that tears were streaming down my face. Thank you!! Charming
I love this series and I hope Alexander McCall Smith will write more. It’s a charming yet insightful tale about human nature and, as always, very entertaining.

The Hedgehog 🦔 is back in form
After Unusual Uses for Olive Oil, I wasn't sure if the series had any more left to explore. The return after 13 glorious years brings the series raring back. Still slower than the first three books, it explores the internal workings of the Institute in a marvelous way.

Very entertaining
I enjoy everything this author writes. I listened to this book while driving and while walking and frequently smiled and/or laughed spontaneously.
