Great story - narrator talked too fast

I love Jill Mansell's books! This was a fun story with a group of great characters.

I had to listen to it at .75 speed though cuz I thought the narrator raced through some of the story. Slowed down, it was perfect!

Recording

I had to slow down the recording. When listening the audio at times was fast and at other times even. By slowing it down some if the characters sound creepy mostly the men . I listen to many book this is the first time I have ever had an issue with a recording.

Fun characters and story, excellent performance.

The story is fluffy and unassuming, but the characters are charming and believable, even if a bit simplified. They made the whole book worthwhile.

The performance was great, lively and fun, and the narrator brought all the characters to life.

I was surprised when other reviewers mentioned needing to slow down the playback. I listened to it at 1.75x speed and it felt just right.

Worth a 4. 5 overall

My first experience with Jill Mansell, You and Me, Always was fun, sweet, and incredibly convoluted. The author presents at least six different points of view, and my one complaint with the narration was with the name "Coral." I kept hearing "Carl," and thinking "Is this somebody new I'm not remembering?" But the story was interesting, the romances were worth waiting for, and I'll probably look for more of her books in the future.

Good story but poor narrator!

I listen to these audible stories for R and R, but the poor narration made it feel like work. The narrator read her lines so fast in a monotone and with so little emotion that it was hard to follow. I almost gave up in frustration but after getting about a third of the way through the story I stayed with it to the end. Like this author but hope she has better narrators in other stories!

Fabulous story, fabulous narrator

I bought both the print and audio version of this book..The narrator brought Jill Mansell's wonderful story completely to life. It was so well done that at times I stopped reading, just so I could savor the spoken words. Just a great story!

Fun, sweet, enjoyable

Great character development. I Iove the narrator. This book has all the warm fuzzy feelings and I loved it!

DARLING STORY

This story had so many subplots & characters that it never lost my attention. A lot of twists & drama kept the story moving fast, never boring. EXCELLENT! I loved it.

This one's a YES!

The thing I love about this author is her wit. All if her books are very funny at times and pull at your heart strings. However, I have found in someone her other books there is too much material and not enough editing. BUT This one is pretty perfect. LOVE the storyline, very original. Love the characters, well developed. Love the setting, I want to live there too! All enhanced but superlative narration.
