Acerca de esta escucha
It's time to agree with God about who he says you are.
You are smart. You are kind. You are beautiful. And even if you've never thought so, you are confident. You have everything you need to begin. This is your story, your life, your moment.
I'm inviting you into the confidence conversation.
It's time to stop being unhappy with yourself. You can choose to stop second-guessing all of your decisions and commitments and wondering whether your life would be better if only you had chosen differently. I invite you to be present where you are - where God is! - and to embrace your life and live out your God-given gift of confidence.
Come join me in this audio, my friend. Let's talk about who you are. Let's hold hands and run hard into the glorious mess of it all. I don't know what challenges wait for you, but this I know for sure: You can do this!

When your life falls apart - through a death, a lost relationship, a diagnosis - you want more than anything to know that your pain has a purpose. And that beyond your pain, a new day awaits. Tricia Lott Williford discovered this in a few tragic hours when her 35-year-old husband died unexpectedly. In And Life Comes Back, she writes with soaring prose about her tender, brave journey as a widow with two young boys in the agonizing days and months that followed his death.

Everybody waits. We wait for a spouse, wait for a baby, wait on our children, wait for our parents. We wait for clarity and direction. We wait on a job, a promotion, a new direction. We wait for hope, for healing, and for miracles. We wait on God. And when we misunderstand what waiting is about, we can get confused about what God is up to. Waiting is one of God’s favorite tools. He can do certain things in our hearts, our lives, and our relationships while we wait - things we cannot experience once we’ve opened the gift we have been waiting for.

Learn to find and play the role God wants most for you to play, not the ones you feel pressured into playing for the sake of others or even our sense of accomplishment and worth. Most of us spend a lot of our lives figuring out when to say yes and when to say no. How to manage our time, reduce stress, do our best for our families, find a little space for "me". But we don't find space for our souls until we learn to step past the yes and no of daily decisions and seek a third option: the best yes. The best yes is the choice that shapes all our other choices.

You love, give, and pour out your life for the ones who call you Momma. But no matter how much you offer, there are still days you feel as though you come up short. You worry, "Am I loving these babies enough? Is this ever going to get easier? Why does it seem like I am the only one who cannot balance it all?" Sometimes we just need hope (and maybe a long, uninterrupted nap).

And yet, so many people have learned to define love through their own dysfunctional family, unhealthy relationships, the romances and wrecked relationships of mainstream pop culture, or, sadly, through pornography. Is it any wonder so many people end up brokenhearted, divorced, abused, abusive, or even suicidal?

From a challenge of faith to a means of transformation: Did God really say you couldn't eat from any tree in the garden? This seed of doubt planted so long ago bears the fruit of fear on some level every day - the idea that our actions could ruin something beautiful and God might not have control over things. In What Women Fear, acclaimed writer and speaker Angie Smith admits, "Fear is a major part of my testimony," as she talks openly about significant struggles she has experienced. Giving a voice to the problem, she says, "I truly believe every single one of us struggles with some type of fear...."

Rock princess Lacey Sturm wants to share her journey from heartbreak to wholeness with young women. In The Mystery, Sturm helps listeners understand that any loving relationship begins with knowing your own identity in Christ.

Almost any parent you asked would tell you that they want their children to be happy, successful adults. But many of us forget (or never knew to begin with) that lasting personal joy is not necessarily found the way the world says it is - through reaching a certain socioeconomic status, having a certain job, buying a certain house, or having a certain amount in one's bank account. In fact, says Kristen Welch, author of Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World, personal satisfaction comes not from grabbing onto things but from holding them with an open hand and, very often, giving them away.

I have grown...
Since reading this book. I have been going thru a lot lately and feeling spiritually broken. This book came as recommendation from a friend who is friends w the author. I listened to the book, which is narrated by Tricia herself, and felt more positive about myself. I finished it in one sitting, finding myself chuckling at some of her stories and the irony in the similarities of our lives, despite myself not having children. I believe many of my male coworkers filled that roll. The book was very well narrated and performed. It was definitely uplifting and encouraging. Even tho following the conclusion of the book, I still feel slightly broken, I have received new hope and encouragement to fighting forward and to never give up until I achieve the ending of my story. I can definitely say w confidence that I will read this book multiple times and may even use it for reference points. I have my favorite coffee mug to drink out of, and will only drink my soda from a wine glass, from this day forward. I will dedicate part of my day, everyday, until it just becomes routine, to talk to Jesus or a few passages from the Bible and reflect. I want to be a better person. I can be a better person.
