Just wish the characters were better humans

Lots of twists and turns, but evil and flawed characters. None of them likeable and mostly pathetic. I would give this book 5 stars due to all the twists and turns and good writing if at least the protagonist was likeable. She was the one I disliked the most. What a weak, pathetic target for scammers.

Not my favorite by these authors

Very irritating lead character. Weak and whiny, making stupid decisions all throughout the book. I've loved all the books by these authors so far, but not this one. The suspense wasn't there for me. It was easy to predict what was next.

Loved it!!

Hendricks/Pekkanen books have become my favorite!! This one was just as good as the others!! Twists I did not expect! Narration was phenomenal!!

Another great story, a definite listen

I love how these two authors have teamed up to bring suspense filled novels to hold you at the edge of your seat and hold you there from beginning to end. Will definitely be looking for more.

Worth It

There were a couple things that I predicted, but overall the book was entertaining and kept me guessing. My only plot issue is that I don’t think the main character acted in a very believable way towards the end, but if you can suspend your disbelief like I did, you’ll enjoy this book thoroughly.

Another great book

This is another fantastic book by the authors. Kept me captivated the whole time. I highly recommend this book!!

Amazing

This book is an amazing one. The performance is beyond great. I couldn’t stop listening. I would say- you need to listen to this book!

White Woman Fragility

I'm used to listening to fragile white women as a common character in thrillers, but this took the cake. Although the twist was good at the end, I found myself asking who on earth would behave as the main character behaves, and ignore all the red flags for the sake of "friendship"

Great Story, Nice Twists

I really enjoyed this novel. There were some points where I felt it was getting a little mundane, but I kept pushing through and loved as it twisted into an exciting plot by the end.

I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys suspense novels. It’s not exactly a thriller, but it’ll keep you on the edge enough. Even if it seems like it’s going to be a boring girl story, keep listening it gets better!!
