I've been fortunate to be able to build my career around my passions, from real estate to fashion. But my professional titles only begin to describe who I am and what I value. I have been an executive and an entrepreneur, but also - and just as importantly - a wife, mother, daughter, and friend. To me, "work" encompasses my efforts to succeed in all of these areas.





After appearing on The Apprentice years ago and receiving a flood of letters from young women asking for guidance, I realized the need for more female leaders to speak out publicly in order to change the way society thinks and talks about "women who work". So I created a forum to do just that. This book evolves the conversation that started on IvankaTrump.com, where so many incredible women (and men!) have shared their experiences, advice, ambitions, and passions.





Women who work lead meetings and train for marathons. We learn how to cook and how to code. We inspire our employees and our children. We innovate at our current jobs and start new businesses.





Women Who Work will equip you with the best skills I've learned from some of the amazing people I've met, on subjects such as identifying opportunities, shifting careers smoothly, negotiating, leading teams, starting companies, managing work and family, and helping change the system to make it better for women - now and in the future. I hope it will inspire you to redefine success and architect a life that honors your individual passions and priorities, in a way only you can.




*The Ivanka M. Trump Charitable Fund (the "Fund") is a donor advised fund that supports the economic empowerment of women and girls. Ivanka Trump is the grant advisor to the Fund and sole member of IT WWW Pub, LLC (the "LLC"), which receives royalties from the publication of Women Who Work. The LLC will contribute a minimum $425,000 to the Fund, which is the unpaid portion of the advance, net of expenses. Wise, hardworking and elegant!

She would be a great leader even if she is not a Trump. As much as she work or delicate to her career as much as she is, everyone can be successful. She is a hardworking and elegant. She doesn’t need to do all that as she already burned in a wealthy family. But she choose to inspire people. I admire people who work hard, be independent and do as promised.

Great book, mediocre narrator

This book has great tips and ideas to develop your career. I actually took notes, so I can refer to them easily at a later time. However, the narrator was distracting and off-putting. She put an emphasis on words like "I," "my" and "personally" that made Ivanka sound incredibly snobbish and boastful. Many of these comments were just meant to establish her credibility. I would love it if Ivanka would narrate instead.

The best book for females who have dreams

I love the reading and feeling like is Ivanka voice! Love the contents and that truly helping me to grow! I shared and encourages my girl friends all read it ! Thank you!

Helpful action inspiring book

This book evokes strong desires to act and thought-shaping aspirations for success. I highly recommend this read/ listen as the voice actor does an excellent job.

What did you like best about Women Who Work? What did you like least?

Some of Ivanka's personal stories give a nice flavor and background to her and to the book respectively. I would have liked more personal stories interwoven with the lessons learned from the masters of the business. Overall this was not good enough to make it stand out.

Have you listened to any of Kathleen McInerney and Ivanka Trump ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Kathleen does fine she carried the "story" for me. I do think Ivanka should have narrated the whole thing.

Could you see Women Who Work being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No.

Full spirit of disclosure. I like Trump and I think he is doing good for this country. I have also bought a satirical magazine of Trump. So I like the man and I can laugh at him as well.
If you are looking for inspiration there is just not enough here. A few good tidbits, but not enough of a desert to make a whole meal.

Best for working moms with young kids

This book is really geared toward women with young kids. A lot of the chapters near the end were irrelevant to me, an empty nest mom. That said, I did enjoy the book on whole and it was worth my time. The narrator was really good, but I wish Ivanka had done it all, not just the forward.

Book worm

I liked it because Kathleen McInerny narrated and she’s so talented. I would recommend it to women who work or to women who want to be in the workforce I like everything about the book

A ton of nuggets...

This is the second book I have read by Ivanka and I always come away so inspired. Thank you for being a champion for women. Godspeed!

Great professional self development book

This book I greatly enjoyed. it had many quotes and examples from business leaders across the world and industries. Ivankas professional story and development over time was an interesting read and a great example for anyone!

Good

I unfortunately had to return the audible copy. I believe they tried to find a narrator that has a similar tone of voice to Ivanka- soft. Though the narrator did that at parts, she often started to sound "robotic" in a way and it made it hard for me to get into the book. I purchased a physical copy and found many topics and points valuable that I will definitely put into play in my own career.
