Find out how the "Delta Dash" and artificial insemination from a dog who lived in Canada made their breeding in Georgia possible. Laugh along with breeders George and Alice and their friends through the hilarious naming process. Learn along with them about canine medical problems they had never heard of. Empathize with responsible breeders when despite their efforts nature does not cooperate. Sympathize with prayers for the pups' survival when life-threatening medical conditions strike, and feel the tension when unconventional medical treatments offer the only hope.
Cheer when the pick of the litter struts at her first dog shows. Smile at the dogs' sheep herding efforts, and their owners' efforts to get their beautiful puppies' ears up and perfect. Cry over the inevitable tragedies that come with breeding a litter of puppies, keeping and loving four of them, and eventually having to say goodbye. These dogs and their breeder/owners' lives were intertwined for more than a decade, and each of them left indelible marks on the souls of the others. The stories, written by Alice, reflect the love.
