late to the party

I've easily gone through the entire series a half dozen times. it's one of my favorites for sure. I do tend to favor the first half dozen more than later books, but I still love the story. I had picked up the add on collections of short stories. somewhere on perhaps the second or third pass through I tried to listen to the first collection of shorts and found that they were not to my personal taste and thus never finished then. I had already bought them both of them but off did not to return them just in case I change my mind somewhere down the road. I believe there's now six or seven books out for the extended storyline that covers our main characters children and a new author that has written at least three books with I believe a different set of characters but in the same universe. so I decided I would go ahead and give the wife Tales a second shot. some of the short stories I don't like flat out and not because they're poorly written, but because like I said they're not to my personal taste. that's perfectly acceptable and I hope other people enjoy them. I will say that some of the last short stories in the collection I absolutely enjoyed and I'm very pleased that I came back to give it a second shot. that holds true for the first collection and now this one. if I had left a review after I first tried to go through the short stories I would have recommended it base on the quality delivered by the author alone, but now I will add that there's something in there for everyone. at least as far as I can tell. I am a fan of this narrator so I do not know whether he still does this sort of work or is doing it under a different pen name. lastly, I will simply say Well done to everybody who had a hand and bringing these additions to a series that I very much love and do recommend.

Short but enjoyable

Short background stories about three more of Valens wives and two other stories. Leland King is still awesome.

Great addition

I love this series. I was annoyed at first by the length of the side stories, but then I realized the cash price for each works out well for the length. Both the author and the narrator for this book were great.

A very small short story collection providing backstories for some of the girls of the harem. Suitable for fans of the Valens Legacy series.
