This book reminds us all about a mothers love that never dies and about how a husband should love his wife. Just be sure to have a box of tissues ready throughout the book, you are gonna need them.

New Favorite Book of ALL TIME!!!!

I don’t usually write reviews but this book changed my way of thinking. It will make you smile and ugly cry at the same time. A must read

Heartwarming and Gutwrenching

I really enjoyed this one. I could have done with out the religious references, but it wasn't overdone and in this case, it was appropriate. I loved Sophie and Grace, and the story of their relationship. I don't want to give anything away, but the journey to mend their relationship was heartwarming. I listened to this on audible, and the narrators did an excellent job with the characters. This was one of those books where I was anxious to walk the dog or drive my car so that I could listen to it. It grabbed me from the outset, and never let go.

Heart Wrenching

Grace is in prison awaiting death row for the murder of her infant son. Her adult daughter Sophie has moved on from her childhood and left her memories and her mother in the past. Then something happens that questions Sophie's own convictions about her mother and she must piece everything together as her mother's execution date draws closer.
I was completely entranced with this story. Down until the last couple pages there is no clear direction about what will happen to Grace. I will be thinking about this one for a while, as if the characters and events really happened.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the deep connections I felt to the characters. This is not something that happens very often when I'm reading a book. I enjoy a story that engages me quickly and keeps me engaged and weaves a story that is plausible.
I look forward to more from this author.

I haven't listened to the narrators previously. They did an excellent job.

Capital punishment was abolished in the state of Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺 in 1967.
As an Australian I have mixed feelings about capital punishment but I am glad that wrongly convicted prisoners will not be executed here. People are wrongly convicted in all parts of the world and a system that does not allow for new evidence to be presented in the defence of an innocent prisoner is deeply disturbing.

A good story

Such a good book. Not a thriller like I had thought but it still was really nice and flowed nicely.
