This was a new author for me, the book was wonderful , you never know how much strength you have until you are put in a life or death situation.The narration was wonderful

Great audio book!

Oh my gosh! This audio book was amazing! I loved everything. The story line was well thought out and didn’t skip around. The characters were on point!”. The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing it to life and doing the character voices!

Strength and courage

This book is definitely about a woman digging deep and finding reserves of strength that she didn't know she had. Going through mental and physical hardship, Being kidnapped and getting away finding a place to stay through the cold weather. The narration is good and the overall i liked this book. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

One woman’s story of survival

Great book! This story is of one woman’s discovery of inner strength and survival in the wilderness. Reeling from her husband walking out on her for his pregnant secretary...then discovering that she was pregnant, Georgia decides to spend a month with a friend in the Yukon. She doesn’t count on getting kidnapped by escaping robbers. She doesn’t count on eluding the robbers, only to find herself lost in the wilderness just before a snowstorm. Fortunately, Georgia stumbles upon a well-stocked cabin. As the brutal winter sets in, can Georgia survive the loneliness and primitive living...and childbirth?
While the story focuses on Georgia, we do get snippets of life, while she’s missing, of her loved ones...and witchy MIL and douchie ex. I really enjoyed this story and narration and looking forward to the next book.

It was ok

I like the storyline but it lacked in execution. Sounded monotonous at times, not sure if it was because of the narration or the writing. I think I was expecting a stronger lead character with more visual descriptors. It’s an ok read to pass the time. But not one I’ll re-read.

Winter’s Captive

A story of inner strength, determination and will is found in this book. I cannot imagine going through what happened in this book and the struggle it took to stay alive as well as flourish in these conditions. Definitely a very inspiring and gripping tale. I really enjoyed this book.

Heart-warming!

Georgia Charles had just discovered that she's pregnant with her cheating, soon-to-be ex-husband's child when she finds herself kidnapped by bank robbers. She manages to escape and finds refuge in a remote cabin. Stuck in the cabin during the harsh winter, Georgia goes on a journey of self-discovery and comes out stronger, wiser, able to take responsibility for her past, and well-equipped to face the future.

This is an inspiring, fast-paced, well-written story full of twists and turns.

The narrator Kathleen Li was a pleasure to listen to- she did a fantastic job breathing life into all the characters.

To survive one must be prepared to learn

Georgia Charles has gone through horrific events that caused her to run away pregnant and alone. Georgia must learn herself in order to survive for her and her baby. I really liked this book and must classify it as a MUST READ. This book is fast paced with a strong storyline. I received this audio book at my request. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. This book is a truly do not miss book.

Gripping journey

This book is a gripping journey of self discovery and streanth. Georgia has just left her cheating husband. Traveled to a childhood friends home to get away for a little bit. Not knowing she was pregnant and about to be kidnapped by robbers. She fighrs for her survival in the wilderness and has to learn survival skills or die. The narrator Kathleen Li helps bring this story to life. It will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Very Good

A must read!!! A woman who finds herself in a predicament after her cheating husband and being kidnapped and stuck in the winter. Narrator did fantastic and great pace.
