Sexy Paranoemal Romance

For those who enjoy paranormal romance/action stories, they will enjoy Wicked Cravings. There is just the right amount of sex, romance (cause hey, there is definitely a difference), suspense, wolf fights and shape shifting. And while some would say that there is nothing extremely original or new about the story....shape shifter girl with secret meets hot shape shifter guy who doesn't think he wants a relationship because he fears intimacy or letting anything come between him and his job....but realizes that he must have her....and then they have some obstacle to overcome....and soon he realizes that she is his entire world.... and they fight any and every one to be together....because when it comes down to it, they are stronger together than apart. SO, while there may not be anything horribly new or original, there was something about this story that had me staying up all night to see how it ends. I was invested in their romance and really wanted to see how it all ended. I enjoyed the characters, the witty banter (between Jaime & Dante), and the flow of the story. And while this was my first Suzanne Wright book, I definitely can't wait to read other stories in the series (especially the next one that has to be Shaya and Nicks's story which I can already tell will be a doozy).
Jill Redfield does an outstanding job with the delivery of the story.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Maybe. I enjoyed reading about a new couple, but the characters have the same personality and verbal characteristics as the previous book, which leads to no distinctive characters from book to book. I want to enjoy new wording, sayings, personalities, not a repeat of what worked in the first book.

The plot was the most interesting part of the book and the main reason I finished it. I really didn't enjoy the same verbal banter and sarcastic remarks the second time around. I think the use of cartoon name calling might be a theme in the author's books...which leads me to feel like the characters are acting juvenile in a very adult situation. Having mentioned the author's weak point in her writing, I'll say that the plot was interesting and unpredictable. The narrator approached the characters the same as the first book which is why the characters of the first and second books sound so much alike. I think the narrator fits this series but she should work on making each character distinctive since the author is writing the books the way she is. Overall I rated the book in the middle--not bad but not great. The narrator helped by performing the book and not simply reading it.

One of the best shifter series!!

Great new series!! I have been looking for a good new shifter series and this one is definitely at the top of the pile. Not the same old story line. Great cast of characters. Steamy scenes. Great narrator. Total package!!!

Great Author/Great Narrator

I love Suzanne's books. You don't have to read each of them in order. The only thing is that she includes them in each book, but in very small ways. So you really don't need the history. As usual, Suzanne writes a great story and Jill Redfield does a fabulous job of telling it. The thrill, suspense and romance does what it is supposed to do when listening to it being read. You get anxiety, confusion, scared, romantic, and all the other emotions that Suzanne's books get from you. I really enjoy reading her books and looking forward to more of her books.

Great Story and narrator

This is a great story and was narrated extremely well. I look for to completing the series and reading her other novels.

Where does Wicked Cravings rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is up there! The writing is smart and I've listened to a couple books in this genre and it feels kitschy or dumbed down sometimes. This was edited well and the story was amazing. The sexy bits were SO SEXY! Awesome. The whole pack thing is pretty enticing.

One of the better shifter series.

There are the standard plot lines, like uber alpha males and the women who match them, but I enjoy Wright's plot detail and some of the humorous twists in dialogue. And the books are hot. A good read.

I enjoy this series. Great story line exciting and sexy. Story line is the same as first book.

I have, this was as good as the first installment. She never fails to deliver on the surprising humor in intimate situations.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not all cravings are bad for you.

Admitting how much I like this series is like confessing to drinking alone, I'm not real proud of it but I do enjoy it.
