it's not bad.

it's not a bad story but it just could not keep me interested in it. the Performer did a good job at trying to keep you draw in to the store I get to the second book before I could not keep going.

Couldn't get past the terrible narration!!

I really, really, really wanted to like this book...and I tried...repeatedly...but I simply could not tolerate the narrator long enough to finish the book. In fact, I couldn't get past chapter 2. I have nothing to say about the storyline, plot or characters because literally the only thing that comes to mind is the 'finger nails on a chalk board' voice of the narrator. Ughhh...

Enjoyed it immensely except for the narration. It got on my nerves. Way, way to much angst in her voice. I don’t mind some but she was over the top. The story hopped and skipped in places but I enjoyed it enough to put up with the narration

great addictive series

the first book gave me pause as The narrator's voice was a little too monotone but as I listened I was hooked and the books to follow got me through a cross-country car trip happily. I was sad when it ended because I wanted more whiskey which adventures!

Surprisingly this series was Awesome!

I say surprisingly because I felt it started out totally boring, I questioned myself to if I was going to continue reading any more because I was expecting things like magic and fantasy creatures, this seemed to be about some women calling themselves witches fighting a custody battle for her daughter in a now a days setting, nothing supernatural about right? so that's what I thought but let me tell you it gets soooo much better. I highly recommend this series if your into the supernatural and supernatural beings, it's a really good read, I was disappointed that it had to end, I was wanting more but that's how I am when I am enjoying a book this much.

WOW!

when I first was a listening to this I wasn't sure. the narrator I wasn't sure about either. I even thought about getting a refund. but as I kept on listening the narrator grew on me. she really did a good job. the story was good. still had to work through it it was sort of difficult, but it started getting real good. overall I wouldn't say it was one of my favorites, but it was alright.

Best series EVER!!!

Once you get past the bad narration in the beginning Kalinda’s voice really grows on you. You become enthralled with the Whiskey family and can”t wait to step into the next adventure with Paige, Leslie, Alma and Dexx. Finish the 4books and I guarantee you’ll want to read the rest. I was just sorry they weren’t available on Audible too.

amazing book set

Loved this set cannot wait to read more about the Whiskey Witches. Well written easy to listen to loved the narration couldn't stop listening to it fell asleep to it every night and had to find my spot the next morning. Definitely recommend reading this series.

Good but written differently

This book is written like a TV episode if you didn't know which isn't bad, although it is different and not for everyone. I did struggling with some plot lines because of this.
