great book.  I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to reading more books from this author in the future.

Juvenile constant use of the word “fuck.”

I liked the story and narration, but enough is enough. It hit very annoying to hear it every few minutes.

Utterly Heartwarming

I loved this heartwarming story about having faith and second chances. These characters stole my heart and I can't wait to read the next book!

Going into this book, I knew it would be a hard one. How can it not be with a widow left as a single mother? But I quickly fell in love with the story. I really liked how it was set up and how easily Ethan fell for Claire's daughter. I liked how he fell for her just as much as he fell for her mother. This is definitely a story about falling for an entire family.

This was an incredible audiobook. I've never read a book by this author, but this definitely won't be my last...although there were moments there at the end where I wondered if I'd made the wrong choice with taking a risk with a new author...some authors really like to rip their readers hearts out. While I definitely had tears, it did work out in the end.

Both narrators did an amazing job with the story. Toward the end, I was tempted to switch to my kindle version just because I can read it faster, but I didn't want to give up the "voices" of the narrators because they were definitely integral to my enjoyment of the story. I recommend it.

Beautiful story

This story had such a heartbreaking quality to much of it but it reminds us that when we loose a loved one life can and will go on. I loved these characters. This book gives a good foundation for a cast of characters to carry the series forward. The narration was very well done and a joy to listen to.

The back story... The h's 4 year old daughter gets sick after a fall and takes her to the ER where she meets her personal Dr. McSteamy. The h has been a widow for 3 years after her husband died of cancer. The H is a known player who has an I don't care attitude due to his bad family upbringing.

The Romance... High lust - medium burn

The drama explosion... The H learns something about himself and decides to save the h by being an ass to her.

Final Notes... Overall a very cute story.

It's not pronounced mis-CHEE-vi-us

The producers at Audible are intent upon making it necessary for me to start a one-woman crusade to end the mispronunciation of mischievous. The male narrator is consistent in his mangling of the word and it grates Every. Single. Time. It would be understandable for a narrator to mispronounce a word that has regional differences in inflection (the place name Lancaster comes to mind), but mischievous is an every day word. Please, please get it right.

The story is charming and the characters engaging. There is a perfect balance of bitter and sweet. This is the first time I've read this author and I plan to seek out more J.L. Berg.

Absolutely 💯 loved it...

This story is so very accurate on recovery, and the aftermath. I found myself crying in a couple places, only because the story mimicked my own story.
