It’s 1869, and a war-weary nation has shifted its focus from the brutal Civil War to Westward Expansion at full steam ahead. The killing has not stopped. Natives and the buffalo herds upon which they depend are in the way. The West is a rough place populated by corrupt characters determined to seek their fortunes at the expense of everything and everyone. Major Kinkaid, Sgt. Butler and their Buffalo Soldiers are tasked with removing the Native population to reservations by any means necessary. It’s been going according to plan until one cold night, in the middle of nowhere, when a horrific creature attacks, seeking vengeance. There’s something out there with a grudge and an appetite, and it’s coming for them.
When darkness falls, the line between man and monster blurs. With every passing night, the body count rises. Suspicion and prejudice brew among divisive factions. In a desperate crisis of conscience, Kinkaid must unravel the mystery of the beast stalking him and his men while navigating a landscape rife with betrayal, fear, and the supernatural.
