Imagine a future where the fate of humanity is ruled by the vile and unforgiving government. Executions of the poor become daily occurrences in order to make more room for the wealthy and the children of a new generation. A questionable agenda has been given to a dark, unforeseeable future, and the hope of the people rests in unsure success of a starship named the Horizon. The search for humanity's new home has begun.
Enter the White Skull, a drug-addicted space pirate who has given up on his own life could be the only hope humanity has left. He gets help from an eclectic group of misfits, including an eccentric homosexual colleague, an obsessed ex-girlfriend and a mysterious female assassin bent on revenge and infatuated with diamonds. Will this group of misguided adventurers and cutthroats be able to see past the darkness in their own hearts to find a better future for humanity?

WHAT an amazing ride!!!
What an amazing mind this writer has these characters so unique.
Absolutely loved the in-depth characters, main character absolutely plays to your heart. looking forward to seeing another one out of this series.
I was disappointed with the narrator didn't quite bring enough life to the book to the characters from I heard the characters had much more life than what she brought to them.

Fast-paced Sci-Fi Adventure
An original dark science fiction universe with unique in-depth characters that are interesting to learn about with unexpected twists that kept me interested. The author did a great job balancing background information to get you familiar with the universe with what the main character knows, it really set the stage for a plausible sci-fi universe considering what occurred. It has a great mix of fast-paced action and drama that feels relevant and not forced to meet a check box. I am hopeful there will be a sequel to experience more in this universe.
