the whole thing is worth 5 stars just for Margery
I laughed out loud more then once at the story of Mrgery. I would have paid for that one. but i didn't have to since this one is a freebie. Thanks Audiible.

The audio
I liked the stories, but SPOOK me, PLEASE! The stories were enjoyable but no suspense in them. I'm looking for the creep factor!

Interesting listen
As a big vampire lore and fic fan, it was cool to listen to some old lesser known ones without all the stuff that can get annoying with modern stories. I have no issues with the narration, i just knocked off a star bc only some of the stories held my attention, others were hard to stick with.

A treasury of old vampire stories
This is a veritable treasury of old vampire stories. Much from the time before the classics. Some amongst them are excellent, and almost all more interesting than the more contemporary writings.
Do not expect jump scares. These are mostly slow moving tales of seductive and hypnotic vampires, mysteries that the hero tries to solve rather than battles he or she fights in open. Some of them are also rather humorous.
The reader is excellent. It often feels incredible that all stories are read by the same person.

deliciously delivered old vampire tales with an older style writing and delivery which is honestly very refreshing compared to the modern

A wealth of wonderfully weird
I thoroughly enjoyed each tale. The narrator’s performance brought each story to life. His voice is very pleasing to my ears.
