Acerca de esta escucha

Contains all five books in the bestselling Vegas Aces series.

Home Game, book one:

Getting fired and dumped in the same thirty seconds makes for a pretty bad Tuesday.

But by Thursday, I'll be in Vegas celebrating my brother's wedding. Since I could use a fresh start, he offers me a place to stay with a buddy of his.

At the bachelorette party, a raunchy game results in a quest to find me a one-night stand. When a hunk with dark blue eyes and perfect bone structure hits me with a silly line at the bar, my mission is complete. I vow to move on from our steamy night as I head to the rehearsal dinner, certain one of my brother's hot pro football player groomsmen will be my Prince Charming.

Then the best man turns around. Dark blue eyes. Perfect bone structure. A body I won't soon forget. And apparently, my new roommate.

Long Game, book two:

Nothing makes me work harder than when my future husband tells me, "Prove your worth."

Luke hired me as his publicist so his pro football team owner will see that he's indispensable to the organization. When a defamatory headline hits newsstands, it's up to me to show the world what a Prince Charming he truly is.

My solution? A marriage of convenience. It'll get his boss off his back and quiet the slanderous voices. Luke is adamant that this is nothing more than a business transaction, but I still feel the heat from the single night we spent together when we were strangers.

Now, I just have to figure out how not to fall in love with my fiancé.

Fair Game, book three:

When the guy I'm fake engaged to suggests we get married in Hawaii, I'm all in. Then I meet his family.

His parents look upon him with disapproving eyes, and that's nice compared to the way they look at me. His pro quarterback brother thinks everything's a contest, including wooing me away from Luke. His sweet and bubbly sister is the one saving grace in this family.

None of them are playing fair, though.

It's up to us to beat them at their own game. Teaming up with Luke only pushes us closer together, but he still won't give in to the heat between us. I'm his best friend's little sister. He and I are roommates. I work for him.

They're all reasons that don't really matter since I'm marrying my Prince Charming at six o'clock on the beach.

Too bad it's not real.

Waiting Game, book four:

My wedding to Prince Charming is interrupted with accusations that it's a sham.

It is, but we both hold tight to the story that we're marrying for love. I don't have to fake it, but I'm not so sure about my husband.

As I play the waiting game for him to return home from training camp, I start to find my niche with the wives of his pro football teammates. But our marriage contract is only valid for one year. If it's all just for show, why do I feel a little sad at the thought of losing this new club I'm part of...and why does my heart leap into my throat every time my husband takes the field?

End Game, book five:

When the worst-case scenario becomes reality, all the lucky charms in the world can't solve our problems.

Just when Luke started to open up, he closed himself off again. When we first met, he assured me he was no prince charming. I'm starting to believe him.

And then tragedy strikes.

This can go one of two ways: Either he'll lean on me the way a husband should lean on a wife, or he'll push me away. But I've got a little secret of my own, and I have no idea what it means for our end game.

Wanting more!!!

Loved the ups and downs and twists and turns. The chemistry between Ellie and Luke is perfect. Loved all the family drama and relationship mending.

Growth and Progress

The MMC, Luke, I found a little lack luster sometimes completely closed off at most times running hot and cold.
The FMC, Ellie, I found her a little redundant with her always questioning everything, and going over and over things, including getting married… not getting married… getting married…. not getting married. It got very over done and her lusting over Luke’s brother made her feel like a 16-year-old girl lust after two brothers with no loyalties and then the consent question of Luke. As a publicist she is smart but as a person she seems to make one stupid decision after another. Both characters had great plot lines that led to both their personal growth and their growth as a couple. One thing I did end up enjoying is there wasn’t much miscommunication a little deal when saying something but for the most part, they talk and talk and talk.
In saying this I found both characters pretty enjoyable regardless of their flaws this was a very enjoyable read with the length this book still got me hooked and spent the time doing the story right, character-based yet never felt slow or full of “filler”. Loved seeing the growth between in the main characters and their families. So even if the FMC is a little tedious this was a good book both with a good amount of football, family, and their individual lives outside of their relationship.
