This book was entertaining and easy to listen to, no politics or foul language. Enjoyable.

Hilarious! That's all you need to know...

I'm glad Mrs. Rowe read it herself - I can't imagine anyone else would give it just the right inflections at just the right times. She makes the listener feel like a neighbor on the sofa witnessing the action. I laughed, cried and laughed again. What a wonderful family. No wonder Mike Rowe is a national treasure!

Peggy is a gifted write. It’s hard to believe that she wasn’t published until so late in life. You will be thoroughly entertained with this book.

Warm, Funny, a Must Listen Book

You gotta admire an authoress who has such incredible gift with the written word. And written with such humor and love. And at age 84 no less.
I want to grow up and be like Peggy Rowe.

The author's voice and diction make the book so much fun!

Loved all the stories, but most of all the story about her husbands' hernia surgery had me and my nurse cracking up!

Best Book Read This Year!

Loved every story that Peggy wrote in this book. Her voice is so calm and her humor so dry and witty. People do great things in their 80’s (Moses, Abraham, Sarah.) Can’t wait to hear more wise words from Peggy Rowe…… Mother of The Year!

Nice light read, and not nearly as provocative as one might expect from this title.

Peggy Rowe has an amazing voice and energy. A feel good book. Easy listening. The content is a little slow, and not high on plots. But really nice. (I am probably just too accustomed to reading darker grittier nonfiction.)

Pure joy!

This is a perfect book for our time, or any time, really. All of the funny and personal stories read to perfection by Mrs. Rowe will delight the listener, so much so that you won't want it to end. I highly recommend this book to everyone - it will lift your spirits!

A fun peek into some very interesting lives

After listening to this book, I can see where Mike gets his personable nature. The many anecdotes ranged from fun to hilarious, and Peggy knows how narrate like a pro. Her style reminded my of a (slightly) saucy Erma Bombeck, whose writing I also enjoy.

I loved this book, and I will spread the word. Everyone should read it. Even you.
