Unlucky

Another fabulous story by an amazing author. Truly, Cynthia St. Aubin's books have never disappointed me. She is a go-to author for me, and I am so pleased I was given the opportunity to listen to another Matilda novel. She is a hoot and a half, for sure. The characters are well thought out, round, and funny in their ways. I love the individuality of them all.

Hollie Jackson is another favorite of mine, and I was stoked when I discovered that she was narrating this series. I love her voice and the emotion she puts behind her characters. She makes them come to life for me, and that's what I want in a story - to make me feel. To connect with the characters. She does that for me, to which I am grateful for.

Overall, this has been a 5 star read for me, no doubt. I absolutely recommend this series to other readers and listeners, and hope I listen to more in the future!

Second, Holli's amazing talent brought all the characters to life. Listening to UNLUCKY, written by the wonderful author Cynthia St. Aubin was amazing, and what better way to spend a few hours listening and laughing throughout the story. Awesome, fantastic, funny. I wish I could go on and on describing how awesome this story is, but I recommended to buy the Kindle book and/or Audible Edition.

Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved this book. Cynthia writes the most fun characters I have ever seen, she holds my attention and has me laughing. Then to top it off we have Hollie Jackson narrating this audio book, she is truly amazing and makes the book even more enjoyable. I could not stop listening, so I finished at one time with a couple small breaks. If you are looking for a fun enjoyable audiobook, here you go or any audio by Cynthia you will love. ***** Hearing the characters come to life in this series come to life was amazing! If you know the book you have a idea of what's to come and the humor is truly laugh out loud funny,if not be prepared to laugh!!!!!

Listen to this after work!!

This is the one you want to listen to on the way home from work! I don't even know where to start. There are so many fabulous one liners that it's hard to keep from laughing continuously. And the voices that Hollie Jackson puts to Cynthia St. Aubin's work is fantastic. I can't imagine who had a harder time keeping a straight face - the author as she wrote or the narrator as she tried to read. There's male posturing over Matilda, leprechauns running a muck, Tatomans, and general hilarity. This is the second case file for Dr. Matilda Schmidt and can be listened to without the first. However, the first would enhance the enjoyment of this one.

Leprechauns...demi-gods...Oh, my!

Cynthia St. Aubin has written another fantastic book. This one picks up right where the previous book ended. I don't want to spoil anything about the book by saying to much. I will say, there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. I'm enjoying this series!

I have listened to the audio version of this book and loved it! Holly Jackson has done a fabulous job (as always) of bringing these characters to life. I'm looking forward to getting the rest of the series when they become available.

I laughed so much I almost made rainbow soup

Cynthia has a magical way of putting together words and Hollie has a way of reading them that had me laughing like a loon. I'm definitely going to go listen to book one now and order book three for when it comes out.
The characters were so fun yet lifelike. And Flick's full name....oh my stars, I spit my tea across my papers laughing. Julie, Matilda, Liam and Crixus are definitely my new go to book friends when I need a laugh. Thank you Cynthia for giving me this to listen to.

If you could sum up Unlucky in three words, what would they be?

Brilliant, Sexy, Funny!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Orange Hair from Tato Mens are my absolute favorite characters. The idea of these bloodthirsty little spuds existing, and the language they use, is absolutely brilliant.

What about Hollie Jackson’s performance did you like?

Hollie Jackson did a great job differentiating all the characters. Her impersonation of Flick and his cohorts had me laughing out loud. If Orange Hair had a voice, I imagine it would be similar to how she portrayed him.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. The story was the perfect length to run errands and complete a couple of chores around my house. The Audible app and length of the story allowed for that.

Any additional comments?

I would highly recommend this, or any, of the books by Cynthia St. Aubin. Her creativity, along with Holly's reading, makes these stories a joy to listen to.

A blast to read!!

I am in love with this series.
Liam, Crixus and of course Matilda are all back for this book, with the addition of a few other characters that will have you laughing until you pee a little.
Hollie Jackson does a superb job of giving voices to Cynthia St. Aubin's cast of characters!
Watch out for the Tater Mens, they are a thing. And they'll get you.
The mix of paranormal and everyday life is great, and the humor that these book pack is out of this world.
I'm for sure going to be getting UnHoppy!

Excellent and Entertaining

Please don't drink or eat while listening to this book.... It's fun and I've laughed out loud listening to it. The narration is excellent. It adds to the great story. I know. Will listen again at a later date. I love Cynthia's work... I recommend this and all her work..
