The hard-working, underappreciated officers of the Cliff's End Castle Guard work day and night to maintain law and order as best they can.
Arra Cynnis is the youngest child in one of the most powerful families in the wealthy district of Unicorn Precinct. When she's found murdered, with the culprit's identity hidden from the magical examiner's spells, the Captain of the Guard sends his best investigators. Great story, and a fine sequel.
Keith R.A. DeCandido's use of the police drama device in a fantasy world has once again wrought captivating story. Michael Page again delivers a great reading of the audio book bringing all of the author's characters to life. I look forward to the rest of the books in the series.
