I very much enjoyed discovering Gina's past along with her and 2 of the jackson sisters. this series has quickly become one of my favorites!

Aquamarine (Pretty Little Mermaids Book 2), my thirty-third read from author A.L. Knorr. Extremely well written, the characters, even the minor ones, are well-developed. I’m a character reader, I get into the characters. Who and what they are. Why they do the things they do. The things that make the reader get invested into the characters and thereby the story. I’ll be reading more from this author and look forward to the Aquamarine (Pretty Little Mermaids Book 1) since somehow I've read this book out of order. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Wow what trek down memory lane.

I want to start this review by mentioning that I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this audiobook. "Ultramarine" begins where "Aquamarine" left off, with Gina attempting to recover her memories after being salt-flushed and trapped on Cobalt Girl. After an unexpected reunion with someone that recognizes Gina at a family graduation barbecue she bravely decides to go to New York and swim in the Hudson River in an attempt to unlock and recover her lost memories that were taken by amnesia. With the assistance of two of the Jackson triplets, Gina takes us on an emotional historical journey, revealing forgotten memories from her childhood onward. Marnie narrates beautifully as always, ensuring that we feel everything, from how loved she is as a beloved grandchild, to the complexities of growing up and coming of age. She forces herself to reclaim, embrace, and share everything with the girls; the bad memories along with the good. Through this journey through her past, Gina finds her future. This was a fantastic conclusion to her story. I hope we will once again have the opportunity to explore more siren stories in the future.

What an amazing story to listen too. Absolutely loved the characters and the story line. Marnie did an outstanding job narrating. Love all her different voices. Highly recommend.

enjoyable

An enjoyable fantasy story with mermaids who can live among humans but must answer the call of the sea. I loved the imagination in the story. Gina has lost her memories and with the help of her mermaid friends is embarking on a trip to regain them. The story is told using flashbacks scenes.

The narrator was very dramatic and added to the entertainment of the story.

I received a free audiobook from StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Love, love, love this book and the series! I couldn't stop listening to it! Wish there was more to the story!
