A step-by-step guide to starting an online business

I really wish I had this book last year, before I gave my notice. It’s such a great read with actionable steps. I saw some comments about the content basically telling you to start an online business or create a course and YES! She is sharing what she learned to be the most profitable way to make money without the hustle. I will admit I purchased two of her courses since reading the book and look forward to her academy in the Fall.

Great book!

I listened to Amy on Mel Robbins podcast and immediately bought this book afterwards. I feel so inspired and prepared to start my business. Just what I needed to give myself a push.

Great read if you’re looking for an action plan

This book is inspiring, but even more importantly it offers an action plan to get started.

I appreciated Amy’s vulnerability in sharing her story. She didn’t just share the path to her success, but also her failures along the way and how she got back up and kept on.

It opened up a new perspective for me on how just starting somewhere (doing whatever you might be good at right now) could be the key to something great.

For the record: she never said men get periods (in case you’re wondering about that last review that was posted).

Big Mindset Shift

This book does give you step by step but I've come to appreciate the mindset shift from focusing on me to focusing on the customer. You will make progress with this book. Just follow it. I started and I'm surprised of the progress.

Necessary read for any entrepreneur!!! (Even if you already left your 9-5!)

Amy really gets into the mind of the person desiring to make the switch. It’s packed full of to do’s and how to’s, and she not only gives advice, but also the exact steps to take once you leave your job, with many examples AND worksheets to make it happen. Truly an expert on the subject, I’m left feeling empowered and confident knowing I have this book as a tool to continuously refer to during (and after) every step of giving my “Two Week Notice”. One final thought… the last chapter was raw, real and very necessary to illustrate how to be, or not to be rather, once you have established your business. I’m SO glad I listened to this book… buying the hard copy too. ;)

Great book very inspiring

Lots of step-by-step hands-on exercises. I picked my day August 4, 2023. Here I come. Lots of real life experiences from the author who is very open and transparent.

I'm so excited to read a book from Amy Porterfield. I've been waiting for years for her to write a book. She has a talent for teaching, and her advice is solid whether you are just beginning or working for years.
